  1. Great progress. This is going to be a stand out F40. Love that blue.
  2. Wow. This must be your most ambitious project yet, Dann. You are doing an amazing job! This kinda reminds me of a scratch built Lotus Esprit I built as a kid. Keep going. This'll be fantastic.
  3. That 2k gloss is amazing.
  4. Loving this build style Martin. It looks just like something those Ring Bros would create. Looking forward to seeing the top coat layed down. Hope you're all mended after your operation now.
  5. Nice work. I like the carbon fibre decal work. Its tricky to get them to look this good. Just curious - is the induction plenum on top of the engine facing the wrong way round?
  6. Wow Roberto. This work is fantastic! You say you're not an expert builder, but It looks like you are. I like your innovate ideas like building the seat from the old roof, and the moon tank. Some of the pictures look like a 1:1 car build. I'll be watching.
  7. Great to see you build this one Alex. My brother had a 1:1 of these in BRG, but with black interior IRC. What a hoot to drive! I've got this Tamiya sitting in my stash, but have not got round to it yet. No doubt, you'll treat us to another super-clean build. I'll be watching.
  8. Beautiful Cobra, and in the perfect colours!
  9. This really stands out in that blue. Well done - its a beaitiful build. Forgive my ignorance, but what is the red car pictured alongside?
  10. This is STUNNING! Lovely colour choice and the interior is very impressive too. It has just the right level of sheen to look like freshly stitched leather.
  11. Beautiful build on your GT3. I did this kit about 10 years ago, but it didn't come out as nice as yours. LS Boxster is very interesting. Do show more pics when you're back to work.
  12. Looks amazing. The photography is so realistic. That's clever to re-use the plastic display base as the new splitter.
  13. This came out beautiful. Such a clean looking build. It surely deserves a place in your Italian Horses website?
  14. That cabinet is amazing. Beautiful collection of Camaros too.
  15. Thanks for sharing your detailing techniques Alex. The results are so amazing. The mock up is looking great. No adjustment to that stance required - Tamiya got this just right. I'm intrigued to see the interior come togethet now.
  16. Yes - the MPC '84 Vette was one of the first model cars I ever built and its a real challenge of a paint job. The majority of the engine is moulded as part of the body, as well as the taillights. If the Crossfire engine is the one with a big square air cleaner, then it has one. This '85 kit looks a lot better. Looking forward to seeing more progress.
  17. Engine looks great! I love these type of Tamiya kits - just the right level of complexity. How are you achiving the detail after the base colours are painted? For example on the transmission. Are you using washes, or powders? Just curious, as the detail looks so good.
  18. I love builds like this. Its not just scale modelling, but scale engineering too. Excellent work so far.
  19. Thats exactly what I was thinking. The last time I sprayed a model with automotive metallic paint the fleck, just looked wrong. On you're Golf it looks just right. I wasn't sure if it was a solid colour or metallic from the poor resolution on my screen. I've yet to try Zero paints, but I will soon. Thanks for the tip.
  20. This is a beautiful build Dann. The Countach looks amazing ib black. Like so many on here, the Countach is an icon of my youth, and this Tamiya kit just reminds me so much of my very early model building days as a kid. I built a few of these, then one day the Fujimi Enthusiasts kit came out and blew me away. There's till life in this Tamiya though, as you are clearly demonstrating. Keep going - I'm looking forward to seeing more.
  21. Good work on those arches Dann. I would never have guessed they were Milliput. Those Wheels suit the Mini perfectly. I'm going to have to track down some of those wheels for a Ford Escort project.
  22. Another big thumbs up for that colour from me. Is it a metallic or a pearl finish?
  23. Looks great so far. You really are on a roll Alex!
  24. What a fantastic kit. Build one MFH 1/12 scale kit per year, and save on all those 1/24 scale kits and associated detail upgrade parts you would have otherwise bought!
  25. Thanks! I just checked out their website. They've got some cool stuff for us UK modellers!
