Good job on correcting this to the proper Bond car it should have been. I always thought these 2000GTs were a beatiful shape.

I built a few in this style back in the early 90s, though my builds are not as good as these. Both are ace, and are a great way of remembering the trend of the time.

The Xr4i is a really nice kit from Tamiya. Unusual that Tamiya did this, but I'm glad they did. Prices for these kits have gone crazy now. Looking forward to seeing this one come together. BTW the racing version is a Cosworth 500 - not a XR4i IIRC.

Absolutley cracking job on plumbing the V12! Its really taking shape. I built the TWR version as a kid, but I think the regular version is much better looking. The V12 in my build is out of the box, and looks naked compared to your excellent job.

Love those checkered seats. You're nearly there now.

Time to show a little (very little!) progress on this one Painted the bulk of the interior in Tamiya 'Rubber' black. I really like this shade of black as it is really an off-black, and does not look too dark. To contrast, other parts have been sprayed Tamiya semi-gloss black. Added a little visual interest to the door panels, with a silver strip sticker. This should be chrome on the real car. The carpet was done with embossing powder, and then airbrushed over. This is the first and last time I'll use that stuff. The finish seems to be so delicate that its just flaking off. Maybe I did not use enough glue. I used PVA (wood glue). Perhaps I should have used something stronger?? Assembling the rear suspension, I noticed that the transmission shaft has a joint in the middle of it, that would not be there on the 1:1 item. Fixed! with a little filler and re-paint. Kit supplied decals added for the gauges, and then sealed with a layer of clear. Wheels done. Airbrushed in Zero's 'white aluminium'. The lug bolt heads were done with Molotow pen. This is the first time I've used that stuff - its good! Shame the tyres don't have any side wall markings - seems to be the way of all new kits nowadays. That's all for now. Thanks for watching by build.

This will be very welcome. Aoshima recently re-released the Roadster as two kits; a early chrome bumper and later 'rubber bumper'. Later one includes newly tooled RoStyle steel wheels which is lovely. I'd like to build a late model rubber bumper with the Coupe body.

Oh wow. This announcement from Revell has made me very happy. I'm glad they're doing the FHC too. Although I like the convertible, I just love the lines of the Coupe. I've been collecting parts for a fully detailed build for years, including the white metal parts from Gunze, and PE wires from MFH. I won't be using them now. I had always hoped that someone would do a new tool of the E Type. After seeing Tamiya's 300SL released a few years ago, I had dreamed that they may do one of these too. I'll settle for this Revell kit - its bound to be so much better than anything we have available now. I'll take at least two!

Nice work. You right about the tangled mess of wires. The v12 in the 1:1 car is covered in myriad hoses and wires. Im really loving the red pearl.

Your first ever full resin, and you used an Airtrax kit! That is very brave. You did a magnificent job. Sounds like you experienced all the usual issues expected with one of their kits. This came out lovely. Thanks for sharing.
