  1. Yours looks great. I always wanted to build that ProShop kit. I've built almost all the rest, but I never could find one of those for sale at a reasonable price. So I just went ahead and bought the pre-built green one for cheap.
  2. Wow, that looks really sharp. The only thing you might want to change is the trim down the sides. They are two thin strips instead of one wide one.
  3. Wow, that is quite impressive.
  4. You like, I like. Looks great to me.
  5. Is it me, or does it appear there will be a solid metal axle through the engine? There are two metal axles in the bag.
  6. Cool custom. You can see the origins of the "Bad Man" in the seats and the quirky mold lines around the forward upper part of the door.
  7. I built the stock kit too. It's in a box and I haven't seen it in 10 years. It had some build areas that really made me frustrated (AMT does that), but in the end I was happy with the result.
  8. I may be an idiot or just dumb lucky, (no comments please) but I've been using PayPal as a buyer and seller for about 15 years. I have used it for transactions other than eBay. So far, I have never had a problem. If the seller is shipping they should be able to supply you a tracking number, UPS, USPS, etc. Your tracking number should tell you how long it takes to get to you. I know through eBay if you don't get satisfaction, you will receive a refund, eventually. I've never had to pursue a refund, the seller was always willing to work with me. The same goes for me as a seller, if my buyer was unsatisfied I offered a refund, either partial or whole dependent on circumstance.
  9. Looked at mine the other day when I was there for other supplies. They had one close out pen of green. Nothing else. By the way, I have all three sizes and have used them all, but mainly the 1mm.
  10. I tell you what. people might poo-poo snap-tite kits of the last couple of decades, but compared to the domestic annuals I grew up building in the '70s and well in to the early '90s these kits are pretty nice, once detailed with some paint. I painted this with Testors One Coat Lacquer Inca Gold. It seemed like a pretty close match to Fords Harvest Gold. The interior is Duplicolor charcoal vinyl interior paint. Wheels were painted with Testors One Coat Lacquer Blazing Black and detailed with a Molotow chrome pen. I'm really digging these things.
  11. Sharp as a tack!
  12. Thanks everyone. I have the '56 too, in the Tim Flock race version. It needs wider wheels before I'll start.
  13. Very topical
  14. Hey, nice looking Vette. I did the same car a few years back with those decals. Great decals. I still have the rest for the 63. I need to convert my diecast into his race car.
  15. And so are those turbos!
  16. Your car looks good and so does the subtle weathering. Is there some symbolism to the bent up plates
  17. Yours looks good from here. I need to finish the one I started years ago too.
  18. I started on this about four years ago. It was mostly finished, it just need foil and assembly. Unfortunately a long trip for work to Canada a move to a new home and more trips to Canada put it on hold. I was hoping to have a permanent hobby/display room by now, but it seems like i'm not gettin a round tuit. Although I do have a wooden one somewhere. Anyhow, the building jones has finally kicked in and I thought I'd get this one out and finish it. Pretty impressed with it overall. Everything just sort of fell together like it ought to. My biggest disappointment was the decals. They could have made the gauges silver instead of yellow and included centers for the hubcaps. The front and rear emblems would have been nice too. The 1956 300b has those. No under hood pictures here, because somewhere along the timeline I lost the generator/power steering pump. I need to order another one from Moebius. It can still be added. There are some more pictures in the build link below. Anyways here it is.
  19. Ok, I'm done. It just sort of fell together and I didn't take any pictures. Overall, I'm happy with how it turned out. Almost everything fit with precision. What didn't, just needed a little finesse.I'm on to the next project you see behind it. I won't WIP it. I'll just put it in the "Under Glass" when it's done.
  20. Hey, don't get me wrong. I love this kit. It has gone together flawlessly so far. Hopefully, later today, I'll have the glass in, ready for the chassis/interior insertion. I've already test fitted it and it looks good. The decals were my biggest concern and really that was minor. I have noticed the 300B has decals for the front and rear emblem, but still no wheel cover emblems. This should be an easy fix. I have the Tim Flock kit and look forward to completing it some day. This is the first Moebius kit I have built. Moebius keeps offering cars no one ever thought of kitting. I hope they never stop. I have their Hudson, Ford trucks, Mercury, Pontiac and Plymouth offerings. My wish is the others get on board and offer the odd never kitted car. I have to have them all.
  21. I have always likes that kit. One of the first kits I built as a kid. Built it again when it was released with the Circle Track Magazine Kurtis Kraft Indy car combo kit. Your version looks great. Love that color combo, very period correct.
  22. I understand, but my 52 year old eyes and hands aren't getting any better. I use 3x glasses and a lighted 8x magnifer to see, but I have nothing to steady my hands. The front emblem turned out better than the back, and there is no way I could put checkered circle with 300 in the middle of those hubcaps.
