  1. I like it. Use to see things like that sitting out in farmers fields. Very nice. Scott
  2. Very nice. Good job. Scott
  3. Kool. Scott
  4. I'm surprised you had troubles with this kit. I had none what so ever when I built mine. But that said, I'd say your's turned out very nice in the end. Nice job. Scott
  5. Looks great. Didn't like those 308s back in the day, but they've grown on me over the years. I kind of like them now. Scott
  6. I do the same thing. I too always carry a Garmin in my glove box. Interestingly, a couple of months ago I forgot to shut my garage door one night. I never lock my car when it's in the garage. Well, somebody decided to go through my car looking for valuables. Everything was out of the glove box and on the passenger floor. I thought for sure my cell phone and Garmin would be gone. Apparently neither has any value, for they were both left behind. In fact I must of had nothing of value in my car. Nothing was missing. Just a mess of my stuff on the passenger seat and floor. So you can tell your wife to stop worrying about that one Tom. Scott
  7. Have a buddy who owned a Scamp pickup back in the early 90's. Great vehicle. It was comfortable, and got great gas mileage. We took it to several car shows/swap meets around the country. Not to show. But, to carry things like swap meet treasures and other car parts. It had a topper to keep the cargo safe and clean. A perfect little truck for what we used it for. Scott
  8. I agree with Tom too. As noted by Steve, we were talking about "mint" promos. Not broken or damaged ones. At the same time, I don't always look at early "warped" promos as damaged promos. I have a beautiful 1960 Ford Galaxie Fordor Town Victoria (a 4-door hardtop) promo that looks like it's been a bit "t-boned" in an accident. This is common on these early promos. Scott
  9. A '60 Edsel would be cool. Nothing based off of the 1990's tooling. But, AMT did make one back in 1960. Scott
  10. Very nice. Was that built from the newer Revell kit (I assume it was) or the older AMT one? Scott
  11. This I kind of like. And I don't know why. It just looks right to me. Good job Ray. Scott
  12. Funny. I think Sami didn't do too bad of a job under the circumstances. The first thing I would have done, if I was Sami, is to punch the other guy as soon as I stopped car. He should not be guiding anybody in a Road Rally in that manner. Scott
  13. I like lordairgtar's advice up above the best. Though the others are very good too. The only thing lordairgtar missed, is also get a sprue cutter/nipper. It's the only way to remove parts from the trees cleanly and safely. One of those basic, must have tools. Scott
  14. Okay..... I don't know what to say about what I'm seeing here. The Lincoln..... Or the two Tempests. I guess, to each his own? Scott
  15. Cute pooch, Brian. Sorry to hear about your loss too. Scott
  16. My lack of understanding of moderation, forced me into going to AA meetings nearly 40 years ago now. Not that I'm complaining. Been sober for over 35 of those years straight now. But, I gave up the booze and took up eating and collecting things. I weight around 325 pounds. I have several hundred model kits. Well over a thousand other toy cars. And several thousand books, magazines, and sales brochures (mainly on cars). DVDs? I don't know. But a lot. "Moderation"? I've never heard of the word. Scott
  17. This suggestion interests me. Can you tell me more? Scott
  18. Look at photos of old Nash Ambassador straight eights from the 1930's. That might give you some ideas on how to do it. Scott
  19. Reminds me of my youngest sister. Scott P.S. Don't tell her I said this! She'll cast an evil spell on me!
  20. Wow! Very nice. Still one of the coolest airplanes ever designed. I recently purchased the 1/75th scale Model Power pre-built die cast of the Gee Bee R-1. A killer plane, in more ways than one. Scott
  21. Too rich for my blood. I'm sure they are priced reasonably for resin kits of this quality. It's just more than I'm willing to spend on them. I've got to keep wishing for MPC to reissue their's. Scott
  22. Wow! Very nice. I especially like the job you did on the grille guard. Like exterior sun visors and continental spares, I've always hate them in real life. But, it's cool to see it done on a model. Scott
