Here are a few of my Monogram builds from this era. They build up really well with minimal work. A lot of models have issues to some degree solely due to the scaling down factor. I don't get too critical unless it's something really obvious. I take it for what it is and have fun. Some of it I fix, some it's just too labor intensive and isn't worth it. If it is a good representation of the real car that's all I'm looking for. The worst offender out of these was the '66 Chevelle conversion, It was a bear but worth it in the end lol. I mostly build 1/24 to add models we wouldn't otherwise see in my 1/24 diecast collection. They fit in really well. I have several more on the build list from this time frame as well. Just have fun with them guys. ?

Thanks Rich, I parked it next to my 1/24 Crown Premiums '70, here's the pic. They done pretty decent on this one considering most of their models are more caricatures of cars than anything else. I'm not a big fan of the oversize wheels and tires, it seems like most of the F&F cars have them so I'll leave them as is. ?

Nothing spectacular but one I wanted to add to my movie car collection but it's pretty sparse out of the box. Plus the '70 is my favorite year Roadrunner.[:)] The front had to be remedied, I couldn't deal with those funky headlights. I scratch built the headlight buckets and used headlight lenses from my parts stash. Plus I had to do the detail painting around the grille and paint the bumper guards and add parking light lenses. Next was that awful interior with no detail other than a chrome shifter and steering wheel. Who woulda thunk a JADA interior could be made to look decent lol? I was pleasantly surprised. Next and probably worse is those nasty tray engines. I tried to make it look fairly decent but it's like trying to put lipstick on a pig lol. Next was the bare plastic trunk. I carpeted it and added a spare, not much but an improvement. Finishing off with the BMF trim, Roadrunner and Hemi badging and an antenna.

Both look great, I have the green one as well because I too like green, my favorite color lol.

Randy, maybe it's just me but the box and paperwork aren't as important to me as having a nicer model. I don't display the box and paperwork lol. And I agree, I've never found a model that is perfect, some of the lesser diecast have as good or better paint than many a Mint models. I have a new detail project I'm getting ready to start on, I'll keep ya posted lol. But the paint on it is really nice for a cheapie.
