  1. Now I wish I had not sold mine... Great job !
  2. Great car for robbing the drivetrain out of, then turn the body into a dirt car. ?
  3. That doesn't look like the same color you showed me the other day. ?
  4. The Big Red Rod is the current re-issue of the Bobtail T. So yes, they are the same.
  5. Thank you Tom, I just put a little filler on the seams. I am hit and miss with my body work, so hoping for the best.
  6. Thanks everyone. All the comments are very appreciated.
  7. Glad to see some updates. Love the air cleaner details.
  8. Finally had enough good weather to get some pics. This started out as a combo between a glue bomb and a partially started kit. One of which was an original issue. I have not completed a 1/8 build ever. Last aborted attempt was when I was 10-11 years old. Even though there are a few things I would do differently, and a few more details I would add, I am just happy to have one under the belt. I am also pleased with how it turned out.
  9. That thing is stunning! I may have to get me one. ?
  10. A number of months ago I received from Casey a couple big old cars. One of which was a glue bomb. I disassembled it tonight and went hmmm... Here is where the "hmmm..." led me.
  11. Man, I would hate to run through your house too fast. Talk about a speed trap.
  12. This thing is going to be incredible.
  13. I really like the fully opened version with all the windows and the lower stance. Looks much better visually. I do want to know how many kits were sacrificed for your brain child though.
  14. White plastic gets brittle also. I have the old Revell 57 Nomad and it is very brittle. It might just be that original series though.
  15. Yes, but did you get the Styx reference. ?
  16. Glad you noticed. ? thanks everyone, it was fun, and a very timely build.
  17. Looks great! Sounds like that is a good comp. I will keep that in mind when we are ready to order one.
  18. Met a guy who was into film cameras for many years, was an avid backpacker and took them allover for years. He hadn't touched them for 20 years, so he sold them to me. I enjoy collecting and tinkering with 35mm slr cameras. This collection is all Olympus and all one owner. Each piece he purchased new. I am tickled pink to add them to my collection. Hopefully I can get them all cleaned up this next week.
  19. Does anybody really care....about time?. My wife and son are both photographers, and I like to collect and tinker with cameras. So since I had too much time on my hands, and it's ticking away from me, I made my son this for his desk. I took a dead Pentax film camera, and found a damaged lens which I proceeded to gut. I used epoxy to glue the barrel back together in the position I wanted it, and installed the clock in the end.
  20. Glad you brought this thread back up. I have been thinking about building my son a bass from a kit. I have no clue what to get as a first kit. I am handy with tools and paint, and enjoy working with wood.
  21. That is beautiful!
  22. Have an idea for salvaging an old Blazer, and did not want the hole in the hood, so I grafted this on.
