  1. Chassis is pretty much buttoned up. Keeping it worn and dulling down any new parts I have to use to try and make it match.
  2. ? that's a good one. Murphys law hit again. I pulled this box out of the closet yesterday that had Mack DM parts in it. I was sorting through it to see how much I had that could be turned into a DM 600. At the bottom of the box I found one black wheel, and one blue & gold wheel. ? Anywhose... Here is the chassis pretty much completed. I am leaving all the worn finish with very little touch up. Any new parts have been dulled to match as close as possible.
  3. Even with all the problems, you overcame them and delivered a beautiful rendition of a 57 Ford.
  4. I love Falcons, having a '60 Ranchero, '64 two door sedan, '65 and '66 Futura sedans, and a '62 Comet as daily drivers. I also have a '63.5 hardtop project on the far back burner. Models...I have two early Rancheros, one is going to be like my 1:1, one is going to be a gasser, and one resin sedan delivery. A trumpeter 64 Ranchero, an old 62 two door sedan, and a resin dirt track project...none of them are built. Boy am I a slacker.
  5. I don't do this in 1/25, let alone 1/32. This is amazing work.
  6. Same here Les, glad you could use them.
  7. I tried my hand at a few when I was a kid, and proceeded to ruin them. So I started collecting them again, hoping to do them justice. I have a restorable 78 Corvette that I want to do up as the pace car. I also have the Jaguar and the 65 Corvette. Thanks to a good friend, I now have a 32 Ford as well. The one that I really want, but no way I can afford, is the 1979 Trans Am.
  8. Thanks Dave!
  9. I really like the look of both your trucks. I think with a set of mag wheels, it would look really sharp.
  10. That is a great setup, and it's even orange! So how does the trailer raise in the front so you can load cars on the lower deck?
  11. Let me guess...orange? ?
  12. I have the Monogram Golden T, the Revell Big Tub, and the Lindberg Tall T as well as their Bobtail T. Both of the Lindberg models share many parts. The engine is their strong point, it is a very accurate rendition of a Thunderbird 312 with six stromberg 97s. I started with the Lindberg as a learning curve. I figured I really couldn't mess it up. I learned a few ways how NOT to do stuff. I also removed a lot of the chrome. Here is mine. I am going to work my way into the other 1/8, but would not be afraid to build another one of these.
  13. While thinking through things on the Elcamino, I had a squirrel moment while looking for something else. That led to a restoration of this Chevy Titan. I liked the looks of it and the ob definitely put some work into it. So I scrubbed it up, figured out what was missing, and started work. One front wheel was missing and I did not have the correct color, so I mixed it. Original is on the right.
  14. That engine is a thing of beauty Scott. The time involved was definitely worth it.
  15. That is a sweet interior Bill !
  16. I could not find the other front wheel, and the only other one that was available was painted black. I did not have any color in my stock that matched the blue, so I found a darker blue metallic and started adding silver until I got it close enough for who it's for. Original one is on the right.
  17. Couple of questions... Are you using the AMT cab? Does Gary Wallace have a website? I have an older T-800 conversion from a different company, but I could really use that cab piece to cover up the sunroof and walk through. Thanks!
  18. Looking awesome Tom. Do you ever give the panel lines a wash?
  19. I have all the parts scrubbed, found most of the missing parts, some of which will not be specific to this model. The exhaust is going to be a parts box assortment. Still cannot find the correct right side exhaust manifold. I actually found a fourth, fairly complete GMC Astro in like new condition, but it looks to be the turbine kit. I don't want to rob parts from it incase the engine is all there.
  20. What?! No bubble porthole windows? Shame on you! J/K, you did a great job capturing the era when these things ruled the streets. I think I may even have a magazine or two from back in the day that are all about these vans. ?
  21. The Flash Gordon movie that Queen did the soundtrack for. It was so bad that nobody even remembers that Queen did the soundtrack. "Flash..Ah,Ah!"
  22. This is crazy, I just received one of these, missing a couple parts, that I was just getting ready to put up for trade, and here you are building one. Doing a great job of it I might add. ?
  23. In my best Erkle "did I do that?". ?
  24. I was going through my Chevy/ GMC cabover pile looking for a suitable chassis for the crackerbox. This one was the most complete. The more I looked at it the more I wanted to save it. Somebody somewhere did a nice job once apon a time. Looks like it is a pearl white over copper with a light gold metallic frame. Hope I can find the other front wheel because I don't think I can match the paint. OB was sparing with the glue so it is coming apart easily. I scrubbed the cab with soap and water and the copper really sparkles. So, should I save it?
