  1. One sees that with more tires, leaving the sidewall blank no line or tire size to break the wall (or how do you say that) Are manufactures hoping that in the future they can "brand" them again, thus leaving them blank being the better option to begin with? Italeri on their truck line of kits, do have sidewall detail, without a brand name that is, so it's very much an option.
  2. Just learned that Jairus Watson passed away. (Info thru his son on Jairus FB page)
  3. Thanks guys! Cheers Luc
  4. Anyone here know where one might find such a light bar?
  5. IMHO a missed oppertunity for Revell as they both serve the military as the automotive modelers.
  6. IIRC it's a company in Macau which markets the IXO diecast range.
  7. More info on their Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1VZ3zTpJZY/
  8. More via link below: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2025/05/preview-ak-interactives-m1008-1984.html?m=1 Picture courtesy from The Modeling News www.themodellingnews.com
  9. Just look at the video to see what differs between this one and stock, also think his built came out pretty good.
  10. Indeed! Met him on my last big trip across the USA, back in 2005.
  11. IIRC the first thing Round2 did when they re-released it.
  12. You did good Steve. Remembers me of a wheeler dealer episode where they "upgraded" an older Range Rover with newer style grille and head plus taillamps to make it more desirable for the market. Cheers!
  13. Here's what's in the box of the original Dave Carlock designed kit. Hopefully Steve G. can share some info on the new revised kit. Anyway I'm buying.
  14. Did Revell have a display at NNL East?
  15. Somebody correct me, if I'm wrong but these Dave Carlock designed kits (S-10 trucks and Blazers plus the Ford Rangers and Explorers) were very nice kits, so great to see that the folks at Round2 is making these era kits even better.
  16. Great to see that the good folks from Round2 updated the grille, cuz IIRC the Ertl designed kit still had the old style, S-10, and not the "Blazer like" as on the box-art below BTW these, the Blazer, Ranger and Explorers were pretty neat kits.
  17. Good that I stocked up then.
  18. When getting to the stash, I noticed I have two too. When looking inside the box of one of them saw extra parts to update it with the 5.0 and taillites from the early 90s Cobra kit and some Aoshima wheels.
  19. Love it! Remember building with my dad a Monogram kit of it. Sadly it didn't survive, but thanks to Ebay thru the years I again got one and the Cobra version.
  20. Back in the late '80's Italeri showed 3 possible new automotive kit releases in one of their catalogs, but only one made it as a kit; The Volvo 760. The other two were a Jaguar XJ Mk I Series III and a BMW 7 series like you show in your post, Rob. Cheers!
  21. All 3 of the second generation Dodge Chargers would be neat to see as 1/12th scale kits.
  22. The info bout the Mustang came from the late Bill Lastovich, when I met him at (I think) the last RCHTA show...the part that maybe there was more of the same in the pipeline is pure speculation on my part.
  23. Think the first "snapper' from Revell-Monogram which was designed as a coss-over, was the WOF '10 Mustang convertible, maybe more was in the pipeline....
  24. Well as you know Dave, wandering off topic is just the way things go sometimes, one can go further into it or ignore and answer/ add to the original topic. But is it realy off topic, guess we will see, when next months releases are announced Anyway as long as things don't go sideways. I don't mind. But the final decision on such matters lies by those who manage this forum. Cheers Luc
