  1. I have some big sleeper projects in mind but I was wondering if I should plan for a window or two in the sleeper? It seems that some big sleepers have them and some don’t. I understand windows are not necessary, and there isn’t much to look at at a truckstop, and drivers are not looking at the scenery when trying to get peace and quiet, privacy, and sleep. Any thoughts? Yeah, maybe I’d paint it to match, but it still looks awesome as is. I wouldn’t have noticed it as a problem. And yes, we could use some more “JT Orange” around here. I think that is an actual shade of orange. Not sure of the paint code, though.
  2. I think it was Class A Resin, but I could be wrong. I can’t remember the actual company that made them. Regardless, I don’t think Ben is running that operation anymore. Moluminum currently has most of the items Class A distributed, but I’m not sure about drop axles.
  3. Such an impressive sight, what a project. Excellent!
  4. So many awesome builds on here! What a great idea for a thread.
  5. That tool box and fender combination will be awesome. It’s a great idea.
  6. I love models that look like they’d get your hands dirty if you touched them!
  7. Give me a 1/25 resin or styrene 75-78 LTD wagon (Standard or Country Squire) and I’ll be a happy man.
  8. That will be an impressive sight when completed. Matching toolboxes and fenders like the truck?
  9. Good! Glad they’ll be coming back.
  10. Hmmm. Wonder if anyone has ever done a “Over The Top” truck with one of these? It would take some modification, but this could be the start of a cool project.
  11. Thanks so much for the Molotow tips! And again, a wonderful example of a classy and unique truck.
  12. Thanks! That’s good to know. 72 hours between coats, or just 72 hours before handling after the final coat?
  13. Now that’s what I call a truck!
  14. You don’t see these much, that’s a shame. What a beautiful example. The aluminum parts are great. I’m very impressed with the Molotow. What did you use for a primer coat under the Molotow? Any clear as a seal topcoat?
  15. I’m loving the big bunk cabovers I’m seeing!
  16. KFS is doing another limited production of the CL9000 this year. I missed out last time, so I have already emailed Howard at KFS directly to make a reservation, I’m number 25. I don’t know if there will be a US distributor this time around, but no matter, I’ll order direct. Maybe this will help stop the madness - temporarily, at least. One just sold on EBay for almost $350 with shipping!
  17. Welcome to the forum, great work!
  18. I’ve searched this subject myself and I know someone did it, but all I can find is an old forum page of sorts and and a photo collage. They did an awesome job, but not much info, sorry. https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=160653
  19. Ahhh! The memories! “Wow! What a difference... Blockbuster Video... Wow!”
  20. Manny at VCG Resins makes spun aluminum moon tanks, custom sizes, you specify length and width. In fact, if you sent him the picture, and specified the size, I bet you could get one just like it. Last year, he made a set of custom sized aluminum air tanks for a Peterbilt I’m working on. His prices are very reasonable, too. http://vcgresins.com/aluminum.html
  21. Same for me. I’m “involved” in my hobby on a near daily basis, but it’s 90% dreaming and 10% doing. That may even be underestimating the time spent in “research and development” - the bulk of which is time on this forum. But that’s perfectly fine. It’s a hobby - no rules, no deadlines, no expectations - just true enjoyment...unlike the rest of life.
