  1. Interesting thought - the '60 Ranchero wouldn't require too much retooling to make a two-door wagon: modified body, an extension for the rear 2/3rds of the interior bucket, and rear windows. Still should have a stock six-banger. Hmm. Same deal for the '59 El Camino...? Wait a minute. When's the last time they issued the MPC '29 A Woody? Since they were investigating that tool anyway - reissue it with '60s chrome reverses, surfboards and new decals/box art. THAT sure sounds like a Round2 effort! What do you think?
  2. That legendary, unforgettable car from the Batman TV series: '61-ish Humber Super Snipe - shows up in episode after episode for all three seasons
  3. I've got my crew working on it...
  4. Plus JohnG on the Round2 forum told me the chassis and interior molds were missing, so even if the body were fixed...
  5. Seems like I stirred up a few hornets with that one - I 'shopped it with a shot of the original box and this image from the '66 Nova accessories brochure, since the artwork style was similar: (image via oldcarmanualproject.com) Took some tweaking to do, but I thought it came out decent except I forgot to reverse the wipers. Note I also tweaked the MSRP code
  6. Another gluebomb orphan of the storm; cheeep eBay BIN: '63 Riviera. The skis caught some sun and warped, but those delicate A-pillars look OK. Looking forward to cleaning it up! Even better, I have photos of my friend's 1/1 scale gluebomb for detailing: 65k-mile low-option car; crank windows, no A/C or power seats. Sat in a garage for over 25 years; cats kept the mice away but peed on it a lot; thus the surface rust...
  7. So many possibilities
  8. Wait a minute. What have we here?
  9. At least the commenters kept up the call for the '68 Coronet - repeatedly - and one guy was jonesing for a '60 Ford pickup reissue all the way to the end. So... shall we start wildly speculating about that station wagon?
  10. First time it's worked all day - would our mods care to chime in? Running Chrome on XP (Yeah, I know, I'm a dinosaur). This forum has had more crashes today than one of John Connor's Russian dashcam videos...
  11. Got the adapters today - they do fit the engraver but there's a slight wobble. If I use the adapter like a pin vise, I can start the hole enough to finish it with the engraver.
  12. I did too, but it was a sedan:
  13. Model Car Garage could have a field day with this one - grille, interior trim, scripts, etc. Hope it can happen!
  14. If I can get in before the chat crashes the site, I'll ask about progress on the restoration of the '28 Model A sedan and see if there's any hope for a restored '64 Cutlass from the existing tool. Oh - and maybe engraving the "Galaxie" lettering on the trunk of the '63 Ford.
  15. A tiny drop of CA on the tip of a straight pin and either a micro-chisel or a bit of sandpaper glued to a toothpick might save you there. BTW, did you get that '64 Chevelle body that had the hogged-out rear wheel openings that was on the Bay recently?
  16. Got the '66 Skylark taillight lenses from Acme Resin (eBay: acme_slot_carz); fast delivery and fine quality - and correct left and right units.
  17. ^^^ Major cool on those - do they make a wagon? I had one 40 years ago:
  18. On order, from eBay, the complete chassis and engine from the current '60 Chevy pickup for five-and-change, plus a set of resin taillights for the '66 Skylark*. I want the chassis to extend the one I have to add the Open Road camper to it, or really extend it for the Racer's Wedge. Either way it'll get a 409 . (*The AAM kit has rectangular blobs molded into the bezels I'll have to drill out.)
  19. Sweet Camaro! I got its twin, and a Caprice, from the Chevy dealer in Glenview when we got our brand-new '73 Monte Carlo. Sold both to a dealer at one of the Old Town Escorts shows about eight years later for $9.00 each (facepalm).
  20. Thanks for the idea, Paul - I did some more looking and found this: I got the Micro Engraver for $10.20 at Michaels with the 40% coupon; the adapter's 2.35mm shaft should fit the 3/32" set-screw collet in the tool. Run it on only one battery and it'll take the speed down enough to drill a distributor.
  21. Wow. Just what you need for that Bonnie and Clyde death car diorama?
