  1. A tiny drop of CA on the tip of a straight pin and either a micro-chisel or a bit of sandpaper glued to a toothpick might save you there. BTW, did you get that '64 Chevelle body that had the hogged-out rear wheel openings that was on the Bay recently?
  2. Got the '66 Skylark taillight lenses from Acme Resin (eBay: acme_slot_carz); fast delivery and fine quality - and correct left and right units.
  3. ^^^ Major cool on those - do they make a wagon? I had one 40 years ago:
  4. On order, from eBay, the complete chassis and engine from the current '60 Chevy pickup for five-and-change, plus a set of resin taillights for the '66 Skylark*. I want the chassis to extend the one I have to add the Open Road camper to it, or really extend it for the Racer's Wedge. Either way it'll get a 409 . (*The AAM kit has rectangular blobs molded into the bezels I'll have to drill out.)
  5. Sweet Camaro! I got its twin, and a Caprice, from the Chevy dealer in Glenview when we got our brand-new '73 Monte Carlo. Sold both to a dealer at one of the Old Town Escorts shows about eight years later for $9.00 each (facepalm).
  6. Thanks for the idea, Paul - I did some more looking and found this: I got the Micro Engraver for $10.20 at Michaels with the 40% coupon; the adapter's 2.35mm shaft should fit the 3/32" set-screw collet in the tool. Run it on only one battery and it'll take the speed down enough to drill a distributor.
  7. Wow. Just what you need for that Bonnie and Clyde death car diorama?
  8. The '60 Ford pickup arrived today; it's a bit of a gluebomb in places but savable. Don, I think you're right about the Halibrands - it also has the Impala's tires, with stick-on whitewalls, and wheel backs. Only slight tire melt, luckily.
  9. Got the '60 Ford pickup mostly dismantled and very gently removed the hood side emblems; got more to do because that glass is IN there and so is the bed floor. It's kind of a gluebomb but better than some I've seen or had/have.
  10. Nice job, and I'm intrigued by that Krylon Foil paint. Did you buff it out, or is it straight from the can?
  11. Original issue body from an eBay completed listing:
  12. Almost forgot I built this one about 40 years ago - just add narrow whitewalls, a decent BMF job, an antenna, a front plate and call it a day:
  13. Finally. From what I can tell (the phone used to take these pictures must have been composed of two Dixie Cups on a string), it's in pretty decent shape and the seller very thoroughly described its issues. It has some roof damage from gluing the glass (really looking forward to removing those windows ), but it's unpainted and complete. I do like the rake with the polished Halibrand knockoffs (anyone know what kit they're from?); I may just keep that look. Wasn't cheap, but cheaper than some I've watched lately. Now Moebius will announce a '60 F-100 pickup in 3... 2... 1...
  14. Sweet job Richard! I know it's a bit late, but I've cast some '56 Stude wheel covers, if you could use a set...
  15. Believe it or not, it's an '84 Firebird. Real nice fit and finish; it looks a lot like an Australian Ford Falcon. Check out the listing on Hemmings for more pictures: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/pontiac/unspecified/2360809.html?refer=blog
  16. ... are missing? Looks like your sentence was cut off. If they're gone, you could post in the Wanted section.
  17. Did you try MEK, like for gluing Plastruct?
  18. Or - Brown with a satin finish is definitely smooth: Very comfortable to wear when you're degreasing the garage floor, putting up wallpaper or just taking out the garbage.
  19. French Silk! Can't get much smoother than that - right, Brett?
  20. Mike, I have one of those in the pipeline too. Are you thinking about fixing the door pillars/window surrounds? It takes a little work but it really improves the look: Take a close look at the hood, too - it's wavy from the louver cutout lines underneath. I filled them with UV resin which made it stable enough to sand down the waves. Good luck with it!
  21. I built one as a junkyard mule years ago and put in an FE - the stock 390 engine/trans from the '61 Sunliner; I don't remember any fit problems. I'm gathering parts for a custom now; I have the Y-block from the '63 Ford pickup with a big Paxton (?) supercharger setup lined up for it. Mine's unbuilt but here's a built one:
  22. I've had one of those Pintos. It's a bit smaller than 1/25; maybe check out the rear wheels/tires from the Surfite, or some larger wheels/tires from a 1/32 scale street machine?
