  1. One seller I watch on eBay that breaks up kits at reasonable prices ended up with a lot of unsold NASCAR chassis that finally were blown out cheap; another one had no trouble selling bodies, wheels, tires and engines but couldn't give away interiors. Best I can say is watch what sells - good luck.
  2. This just started happening yesterday. On Firefox (my default browser) I'm logged in, but unable to reply or post at all. I couldn't log out, either. Tried closing Firefox, tried rebooting the computer, even ran CCleaner; was able to respond to one post with a quote and then it wouldn't respond again. Finally I loaded the page on Chrome (which I don't like using) and I got in OK. Is this one of the software problems the mods are trying to address? For what it's worth I'm having the same issue with Jalopnik (on Kinja).
  3. Got eighteen form-fitted, ventilated dusting and polishing cloths. (...in other words, I retired nine pairs of socks with holes in them )
  4. I may have a spare chrome '32 wheel - do you need the front side or the back?
  5. Nice work (I agree the windows need a little finessing) - and Monogram should have done this long ago.
  6. Nice! Which wheels are you using - the Rallyes, the Keystones from the publicity shots or the cast ones the car had in the race?
  7. They started that list at NNL Milwaukee, and I'll freely confess to having posted a bunch of those requests: items 2 through 8 on the first page and a 1st-gen Econoline at the bottom that was cut off, and the '39/'40 Merc and '57 Buick Century on subsequent pages. At least they're asking! ETA: I deeply admire the optimism of the person who requested the '30 Buick sedan. For that matter, I admire the optimism of anyone who requests a '30s car today!
  8. Check Hobby Lobby - they have had fillable, empty 4mm pens in the clearance aisle for about a buck each lately. Too bad HL discontinued all the Molotow products right before the chrome pens came out!
  9. Too cool! What's the color scheme? I had one with a 260 V8 about twenty years ago:
  10. Got a couple resin '62 Plymouth convertible tops and my original master back from Pedro. (Nova-SS, you have a PM.)
  11. Put the scuffed one on the passenger side front - that's the one that hits the curb first.
  12. What plates do you need? If you want CA I can whip up a set - give me the license number and year.
  13. I have a couple in my parts pile; one was from the "Here Comes the Judge" issue of the AMT '57 T-bird. I may have all the tubes for it. I'll check tonight - if Vince can't help, PM me. (With all the gassers being built lately maybe Round2 should look into a reissue?)
  14. Roger, are these the taillights you need? http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-1-25-MPC-1968-PLYMOUTH-BARRACUDA-NOS-TAILLIGHTS-KIT-268-200-/252872040975?hash=item3ae059220f:g:7lwAAOSwJ4hY88xp Same guy has headers but I don't know if they're the same for the H.U.G.: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-1-25-MPC-1968-PLYMOUTH-BARRACUDA-NOS-HEMI-HEADERS-KIT-268-200-/361955861791?hash=item544640251f:g:5BcAAOSwVm5Y88wW
  15. Paul, you've made such a name for yourself among the high-end collectors that those people are bidding and paying $2000 for a "Paul Hettick original build"; they're sort of the Faberge eggs of model cars now. Selling the kits shouldn't lessen the value because few builders can do what you do with them. From what I've seen here, the general consensus is that most forum members take a very dim view of the arrogant copycats on eBay. Hope you'll go ahead; I'd like to give myself an Imperial sedan as a birthday present this July.
  16. Correct! The others: Upper left: '61 Corvair (you were supposed to separate the trim rings but many folks didn't) Upper right: '65 Fairlane Lower right: probably '70 Impala.
  17. Left: AMT '63 Mercury fullsize and Meteor. Right: AMT '49 Mercury.
  18. Yes, there must be a few factory colors you haven't done yet... How about both early and late versions of Mocha Frost?
  19. (scrolling pictures) Well, can't see too much that floats my OHMYGOD I WANT THAT 63 COMET CONVERTIBLE! (calms down) So, are you looking for trades?
  20. Saw a Bronco at Milwaukee with those wheelcovers mounted - they stand up to close scrutiny. Well done!
  21. Hope Ebbro can pick up where Heller left off on the Estafette...
  22. I looked at the Mustang in Milwaukee and the headlights are separate clear pieces but were painted silver. Taillights appear to be molded into the rear fascia and were painted red.
