  1. Any AMT rig kit can be built to fantastic results, just takes time and patience. Sure, the instructions can be a bit vague, and there is a lot of flash removal, and sanding , but, it’s a model, and most current AMT kits are made from 50 year old molds ( even when new, there were issues, I have many first issue kits that have less than perfect molds), but the subject matter is so cool, it’s worth dealing with. i will say that the freightliner is a tougher kit to master, only due to the multi part cab, but even that can shine with some , ok, a lot of work. Pick what you like, and have at it, as they say, you only get out what you put in .
  2. Guess I shoulda bought the kw mixer I saw at NNL east, that would’ve all but guaranteed it’s reissue.....
  3. Maybe next year we all wear shirts with our screen names on them, lol
  4. Man that’s nice! Well done !
  5. Thanks for posting those pics, saw a few builds I missed while there, total sensory overload every year......
  6. Congrats Bill, stunning build, and well deserved.
  7. Talked with someone at the moebius booth yesterday at NNL East, he said it’s about a year out.....
  8. Had another great time, and as usual spent way too much money.....
  9. I’ll turn 50 late this year, not sure if I’ve been thru the crisis yet or not, cause I have the convertible, lol. I act like I’m 12 half the time, and some days physically I feel like I’m 70, but generally, I don’t give age much thought. I think the biggest change I’ve made in the last few years is making more time to do things I enjoy. I’m an auto tech by trade, and used to always do side work for extra cash, after awhile I thought, why am I always working? Sure, I got to buy cool stuff, but never had time to use it, because when I had ‘off time’ all I wanted to do was nothing and rest.
  10. I’ll be there, coming out Friday as well. Been looking forward to this since I left the show last year......
  11. Won’t be long now, it’s almost like waiting for Santa!
  12. This is another build that pics don’t capture, the color/sheen differences in the tanks and stuff just don’t come thru in pics, but in person, the subtle differences really pop. Great build Jeff.
  13. Agreed, great looking build in person . The wood treatment really looks terrific ‘live’ .
  14. Saw this in person today, great build! Was nice to put another ‘screen name’ to a face. Enjoyed talking with you today!
  15. Looks like there was a little something for everyone’s interest there , great looking stuff. Thanks for sharing those pics.
  16. Great looking build, takes a little bit to notice all the little details, probably because it’s so realistic. Well done!
  17. Who’s in for this year? I’ll be there again, should be a fun day.
  18. For the small square bottles, I took that spool rack and put rubber bands across the ‘pegs’, works great.
  19. Not when your parking lot , aka hot tub cover , had a foot of snow on it, lol. Hoping maybe it’ll be dry and sunny tomorrow so I can get a few pics.
  20. We ever get some decent weather around here, I’ll get some good outside pics of the Western Star to post under glass . Got a foot of snow Monday ! Spring my butt, lol.
  21. That’s a sweet little rig right there! Well done
