  1. Man, it’s great to see you at the bench again! Looking terrific so far!
  2. Nice! I did a build of that a few years ago, with original issue kits, lol. Had I known they were going to be reissued, I’d of waited.
  3. My grandfather worked there for years, although by that time I think he was semi retired.
  4. Looking good KJ! That truck didn’t come from Utica general truck when new did it?
  5. Be careful you don’t get cut, cause that is sharp! Beautiful build!
  6. Shot a 94 on a golf course that I have only played once before ( about 3 years ago), weather was perfect, and played the round with 2 friends, great pace, and only lost one ball. My idea of a perfect afternoon.
  7. Great update , so glad things are coming around for him. Keep up the progress!
  8. Looking at their website, there really isn’t much mention of ertl at all...
  9. If both paints are lacquer, you’re fine. You can put enamel over lacquer, as enamel is ‘cooler’ than lacquer. Only problem with enamel is it takes forever to dry/cure.
  10. Any AMT rig kit can be built to fantastic results, just takes time and patience. Sure, the instructions can be a bit vague, and there is a lot of flash removal, and sanding , but, it’s a model, and most current AMT kits are made from 50 year old molds ( even when new, there were issues, I have many first issue kits that have less than perfect molds), but the subject matter is so cool, it’s worth dealing with. i will say that the freightliner is a tougher kit to master, only due to the multi part cab, but even that can shine with some , ok, a lot of work. Pick what you like, and have at it, as they say, you only get out what you put in .
  11. Guess I shoulda bought the kw mixer I saw at NNL east, that would’ve all but guaranteed it’s reissue.....
  12. Maybe next year we all wear shirts with our screen names on them, lol
  13. Man that’s nice! Well done !
  14. Thanks for posting those pics, saw a few builds I missed while there, total sensory overload every year......
  15. Congrats Bill, stunning build, and well deserved.
  16. Talked with someone at the moebius booth yesterday at NNL East, he said it’s about a year out.....
  17. Had another great time, and as usual spent way too much money.....
  18. I’ll turn 50 late this year, not sure if I’ve been thru the crisis yet or not, cause I have the convertible, lol. I act like I’m 12 half the time, and some days physically I feel like I’m 70, but generally, I don’t give age much thought. I think the biggest change I’ve made in the last few years is making more time to do things I enjoy. I’m an auto tech by trade, and used to always do side work for extra cash, after awhile I thought, why am I always working? Sure, I got to buy cool stuff, but never had time to use it, because when I had ‘off time’ all I wanted to do was nothing and rest.
  19. I’ll be there, coming out Friday as well. Been looking forward to this since I left the show last year......
  20. Won’t be long now, it’s almost like waiting for Santa!
  21. This is another build that pics don’t capture, the color/sheen differences in the tanks and stuff just don’t come thru in pics, but in person, the subtle differences really pop. Great build Jeff.
  22. Agreed, great looking build in person . The wood treatment really looks terrific ‘live’ .
  23. Saw this in person today, great build! Was nice to put another ‘screen name’ to a face. Enjoyed talking with you today!
  24. Looks like there was a little something for everyone’s interest there , great looking stuff. Thanks for sharing those pics.
