  1. After I read your post in Computer Help I understand what you meant. Its been so long since I saw that setup I forgot about it.
  2. I was just wondering about the display diff, as my laptop only has a 17". There is a "custom scaling" setting in the display settings. You try that?
  3. Hang in there Les. At least you got to blow off some steam. My daughter discovered that her sound card needed to be replaced and I had to bring her down from the ceiling. I showed her how to do it and now she'll have a go at it. You have a desktop or laptop?
  4. The reaction indicates that someone "Liked" your post.
  5. I've never seen a windows clock on the right, that's new to me! As for the toolbar, easy peasy.
  6. I have a couple of years old HP laptop with the AMD Ryzen 5 processor that I updated to Win11 last year with no issues, so I don't think its a chip issue. Is yours a desktop or laptop?
  7. Hey Les, I can't help you but I use Lychee exclusively and its never happened to me. I also suggest reinstalling if you haven't already. Good luck!
  8. I use both, but CA is my go-to. I use epoxy for parts that need a really strong adhesion. I used it to put the two sections of my Karmann-Ghia body together, and I'll use it for a chassis sometimes. When using CA, I almost exclusively use the gel.
  9. Small hoorays on my Ghia. Finally got the VW kit engine surround and accompanying rear seat to fit. I had to cut out the sides of the engine compartment for the wider Ghia but still need to fill the leftover holes. I also got the wheels to fit between the body. I was intent on using the kit wheel mounts with the wheels I printed, so out came the grinder. After a lot of refitting I got them to work so that the wheels would turn without interference. The convertible boot is from the Revell Z8 kit, cut in half and narrowed.
  10. Hey Les, Cults had a banner up this weekend stating that they were working on the slow loading issue and it seems to have worked. I finally enjoyed going through some of my fav designers sites. A couple of item pics didn't load but not a widespread problem. It was early this morning in the U.S. so I'll still have to check at a heavier traffic time here.
  11. Thanks Ken. Yes, I have loaded Blender addons before.
  12. How did you get those files in Blender? They show as a proprietary file type. Thanks.
  13. I've been able to separate parts from a couple of drawings in Blender though without checking with the designer. I was able to print my Karmann-Ghia with the hood & trunk separate. Go into Edit mode, right click on the body, select Separate, Loose Parts. Some drawings will have a long list of parts that require selecting individually to see what gets highlighted. I recently had to remove the middle of a set of wheels to get only the rim and it showed all the rim bolts, spokes, and parts separately but I was able to remove the spokes and get the part I needed.
  14. Welcome Robert!
  15. Very nice!
  16. Yeah, that's kinda why I put them on the "also" list. C.G. Trader is expensive as well. I've never bought from them because of that, and Tinkercad is for fairly simplistic files though I have a couple on there that you might want.I think this link will get you there. https://www.tinkercad.com/users/6g2iPFJLWp3
  17. ? I don't know about better, but I use the following. For the price, I like Cults for the pricing but I have a busload of RAM on my computer so it loads well for the most part: https://3dprintable.shop/ https://www.cgtrader.com/ https://pinshape.com/ https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/categories/cars-vehicles?date=week&features=downloadable&sort_by=-likeCount There is also Thingaverse and Tinkercad.
  18. Good to know, I've got some black and dark blue I need to use but have been afraid to.
  19. Nice work! Awesome detail.
  20. Hey Tom, I think you did well for your first drawing. I may have to give that a go myself. My recommendation is to redraw it in the correct scale, or leave it in the original size and rescale the stl.
  21. Beautiful build!
  22. Hey Tom, I've never tried it that way but have seen vids on it. I'll have to try it because I'm trying to replicate some for the Effijy I had printed and can't quite get some details to work. Below is a pic of some wheels I created for my CBR Karmann-Ghia, the Effigy wheels I created, and a pic of what I was trying to duplicate. Have you tried creating planes and extruding the feature onto the face like in the last pic of my KG wheel?
  23. I bought the same green resin a few months ago and like it for certain prints. You've got some really nice stuff though that I wouldn't have thought of doing in translucent.
