Picking this one back up Pat. Beautiful color choice man. I've used the Molotow Chrome pens before and have had mixed results with them but it looks like you did a really good job using yours.

This is coming along VERY nicely and I apologize for being out of pocket. What a spectacular thread to follow along with. It's interesting about the two part decals for the Roadrunner on the wing and I can't get enough of that paint job. WOW!!!

I was gonna ask about the dio and you answered that question. WOW. WOW WOW and some more WOW!!! Everything about this build just screams realistic Martin. Such eye candy at every angle you look at this and that includes the dio as well. I really had to take a good look as I thought the first picture here was a reference photo that you were going to use for the build itself. Just crazy detail here.

At the risk of dating myself, I too had this kit as a kid and attempted to build it but it didn't turn out very well. This one turned out pretty darn good here as the paint work and detailing are pulled off very well. I've never heard of the MJM pre-wired distributors but will check into them. You sure put some good work into this car Eric.

I didn't follow along on this beautiful build but I can tell by looking at the finished product that I should have. Very well detailed and painted up Justin.

I like your take on that car Fabrizio. That engine compartment looks the part indeed. Awesome detailing and easy to take for the real thing. Growing up I always thought the Crossfire Injection was "all that" but once I got in the dealership as a technician, I quickly learned that it was NOT. In theory it was a cool concept but nowhere NEAR what the Tuned Port Injection capabilities were. This is certainly not to take away from the beautiful detailing that you've pulled off here though. All I can say is.....WOW!!!

Just found this and am definitely liking what I'm seeing Dave. That vinyl top looks GREAT man. I hear you on the limitations of the kit in regard to the rear panel but it still is turning out to be a fantastic looking build buddy. Following......

I wished I had better news for you on that front Mike. The new Black BMF seems to have the same issue with too low of tack on the adhesive side. The way I look at it is that you have to know what you're getting into when using it but it works out well to the patient builder. Thank you Carl and Curtis for tagging along and for the comments. The next phase of this build will be the installation of the left and right inner fenderwells and detailing them out. I'll be routing engine electrical and headlight vacuum line harnesses on these and then detailing out the engine firewall. These photos came from my good buddy Brent and will come in handy for the details and build up.

I've always liked these cars......a LOT. We used to go to my grandparents house quite regularly and I had an uncle that lived the next house over from them. I never had too high of an opinion of him because he always had his priorities mixed up between family and his "toys" but he sure had a good taste in cars. He picked one of these up and it was an all red car. Man that car was beautiful. True to form, he couldn't make the payments and it fell on my mom to return it for him which at the time was cool with me because I was around 16 years old at the time with a drivers license. Just about ANY 16 year old kid would have loved that so I was happy to oblige. Really cool car and I loved every second of driving it even though it was the 305 version. You are to be envied as well. That era of F bodies were some of the best IMO. Even though these kits are older, I'm a bit surprised at the inaccuracies given the large scale of these beautiful cars. There aint no way kit any reputable kit manufacturer could get away with that nowadays. lol

That's a good lookin' Thunderbolt right there Keith. Are you saying that the kit was a beast to build or that the aircraft itself was a beast? If it was the latter these were indeed a formidable opponent with 8 .50 cal machine guns. Frickin' aircraft shredder.

I may have to pick a couple of sets of those Aoshima American SS wheels up myself. Cool score bud.
