  1. I don't remember this one but it looks like you're doing some good with the build Dave. Will be watching this one come together.
  2. This doesn't look like it but there's been a ton of work done to this thing since the last update. Shift, throttle/clutch/ brake and actuating levers installed , seats painted and installed (obviously) and a newspaper that I got from Fields of Glory. Mild weathering adorns the entire floor and rear shelf area as well. The seats took two tries as I wasn't happy with the look of the seats when initially painted.
  3. Coming along nicely Simon. These long projects usually mandate a break to take on much simpler builds along the way. I've already had two other modeling diversions since I started my Maverick project in January of this year.
  4. Thanks Simon! I only WISHED I had one of these. I built it like one of the best looking T/A's I worked on back in the day when these were new in 1998. I didn't do a whole lot to this in the way of additions. I think the only things I did add were the magazine, AC Delco decal on the oil filter and the dual tailpipes.
  5. Right??!! I forgot the honey do's and getting our sons truck ready for the road.
  6. Good color and details. Brought 'er home nicely.
  7. That's a good lookin' lil' Vette you've got there. Nicely done!
  8. Snazzy paint job along with the details make this one good lookin' ride.
  9. Great job on this build. Fantastic weathering and details.
  10. Very nicely done. Don't see many of those SSR's being built and this one looks great!!!
  11. The stance coupled with the wheels look great! Good detail work too.
  12. Man.....that does look good!!
  13. Thanks Dann! Thank you as well Frank. Yeah I slept on that one a day or so trying to figure that one out. That was the one thing that I just couldn't leave alone and it would've stuck out like a sore thumb. 'Preciate that Cliff. Thanks Anton. ALL: I apologize for the late responses. Forum time has been lacking for the last few weeks due to work kicking my tail. When it slows down a little I'll be on here a bit more.
  14. That turned out very well Mike!!! Looks like you dropped the front end a little. Perfect stance and like the effects you added to the Firebird scripts. I thought it was a bummer as well about the TransAm door scripts. I looked for aftermarket emblems for mine but turned up with no results. I've always liked these earlier WS-6 wheels as opposed to the later ones that Pontiac used. Looks fabulous man.
  15. Ok....I'm back. Work has been totally kicking my a$$ as of late. Too far behind on work, not enough people to do the job with and now we're working over time just to not get any further behind. That being said I've been pretty tired and haven't felt much like sitting in front of a computer in what little time that I do have off these days. I did get today off so I figured I'd catch up on the rest of the forum and then here in this thread. Even though I've been working like a dog I have NOT given up my benchtime. I managed to build the engine and install and start work on the interior. The engine originally had 11 parts to it but in typical fashion I added the spark plug wires, fuel line from the pump to the carburetor and installed the circuits leading to the generator. I would've posted progress sooner but I took Macro shots and spotted more boo-boo's than I could count so I made all the corrections and now have a presentable bit of progress. If anyone is thinking about getting this kit...I HIGHLY recommend it. Plenty of detail and goes together very well.
  16. Totally insane work going into this build Simon. Makin' my head spin!!
  17. Very good work!!! I'm right there with the rest of the folks who are saying that this doesn't look like a scale model at all. Good show!!
  18. Wayne......I've gotta say that I miss seeing you around bud and I certainly appreciate you stopping in. Gonna have to catch up pretty soon buddy.
  19. A touch of rust and a little more in the weathering department.....
  20. Managed to finish the base chassis off this morning. Still gotta install the wheel/ tires but that'll come after I get through with the engine and interior. Might even come after I get through installing the body onto the chassis so I can play around with ride height and stance a little bit. Speaking of engine....that's next up. At ten pieces in 1/35 scale it provides an excellent platform for adding some extra details.
  21. I've seen this one built up a time or two and they turn out pretty good. Will be watching this one come together with great interest.
