  1. I havent touched my cars... yet again. I seem to have a hard time committing myself to a build that I committed myself to. If that makes sense.
  2. One of the best examples of that kit in a long time. What a beauty!
  3. I'd love to find an old 79 bronco kit. Looks great!
  4. Well done!
  5. Well, I finally got around to foiling the door handles on this thing. Also hit it with about 2 coats of clear. Looks great. Some small imperfections that were amplified with the addition of the clearcoat. Some smudging caused by the Q-tips while buffing the foil, and some lint/dust that just didnt want to go away no matter how much I wiped it off or blew air on it. Oh well. Over all it looks fantastic I think. I'm really glad I brought this kit back from the dead. now on to the pics! One thing I forgot to do was paint the turn signal amber in the front markers before I cleared it. I think it will be ok uncleared once I paint them on. I still have yet to paint any of my detail parts such as suspension or chassis detail. Still have to paint the front seats as well.
  6. I find that no stickers/graphics on the body is even better. I'm not even really a fan of pinstripes. All of my cars are either 1 single color or two toned at the bottom. Well.. unless you count my truck.... which has a different colored truck cap lol
  7. Very nice build and I really dig the realistic "field dust" weathering
  8. I feel like its going to need some sort of 2 lever operating system vs. a steering wheel, for its forward/backward motioning. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
  9. His response w/ that video was in regards to the title of the thread... in Back to the Future, the Doc says "Roads, where we're going we dont need roads!" and then the wheels of the DeLorean fold in and turn in to rocket boosters... And that video he posted, the car has some serious camber that almost looks as if its about to take off like the back to the future time machine... so no, nothing to do with tanks... but the thread title however.... pretty close.
  10. That looks fantastic
  11. Thats awesome!!!!
  12. Glad to see it finished. What a beautiful build.
  13. Hmm a fairly fresh 80's Ford Flathead for your hot rod? That would be neat.
  14. Thanks for the tip. I'm on the hunt now.
  15. The crown vic would be killer to have!!! I'd love to have one. Price depending. Your fox tbird looks like it could be great too! can't wait to see it. I'd LOVE to see a '96 Lincoln Mark Viii LSC created...
  16. A pen for the panel lines... thats brilliant
  17. I have the older re release of the AMT 289 Cobra... thought about making it in to one of these. Also have the Baldwin Motion 427 Cobra... considered making it one as well... but I robbed it of too many parts. I need some rear wheels to it.
  18. Thank you Greg. I was getting rather frustrated around the cozy wings though! I watched Dr. Cranky's video's before I even attempted on my barracuda it last year. Here's more pics Still have a few things to do to the body before I clear it. Hopefully the weather cooperates.
  19. Thanks fellas. And Mike, it's the kit is the old Monogram 55 Chevy Street machine kit. Which is basically the Tom Daniel's Badman kit.
  20. What a wicked looking machine!
  21. Thanks! I finished all the bmf tonight. The cozy wings were driving me crazy. I forgot to bmf the door handles. Oops. A few more details on the outside and it's ready for clear. I also detailed the interior too. Except I didn't use bmf. I used chrome silver paint. Didn't even want to try to do that dash haha! Pics tomorrow....
  22. Thanks but it's temporary. I just wanted to see what it would look like in contrast to the wheels. I kinda regret hitting them w/ flat clear. This thing will sit up high in a gasser/street machine stance.
  23. Couple shots from each side Started on the BMF yesterday morning. Not rushing it so I dont screw it up. Going well so far. Hoping to finish the BMF tonight.... stay tuned.. This one will actually get done!
