  1. Is the engine on par with Brad's castings?
  2. I am sure you are more familar with their products and perhaps that is a test shot. I agree since there is a market for this product they will have no problem selling them. The term knock off could end being a compliment if the quality is as you say. It would be nice for someone to review one of the first ones available.
  3. I have the Scale Production one. This looks like a knock off with fewer parts.
  4. Might have to pass on this one. What Revell/Monogram kit is supposed to be the donor?
  5. Not sure if anyone does these decals but the color is dead on. It's a little surprising a lot off the funny cars did not have the NACA scoops.
  6. So two years later is a transkit available. I got one of the Scale Productons one a few years ago. I should count my blessings.
  7. I guess Scale Production discontinued theirs. Too bad.
  8. I've yet to find a Mangusta but I have somel Panteras.
  9. The Mach1 show car and 69 convertible are pretty rare. The 68 GT is resin and the 67 Shelby is the mini Exotics conversion. The 1/32 71 Mach1 is from Japan and the 70 1/25 Mach1 might be MPC.
  10. Nice job on the real one made to look like a kit. Somehow I missed that 90's show. Of course not many people saw Street Hawk either.
  11. Or Spin out. Thank you very much.
  12. Another famous blue Mustang owner - a young Sarah Palin. You betcha.
  13. 71 Mustangs. Sure wish someone would do a resin convertible. Not sure the last time I saw this hubcap.
  14. Let me be the first to say excellent job on the conversion. There is a resin body available Motor City resin casters with the grille and chrome bumper and flat style hood to make a coupe if one wants to avoid all the scratch building. If you look at the grille area of any 71-73 Mustang the only body color you will see is the fender caps and hood trim (unless it is chrome like this one). The grille area is either dark grey/silver or black. Technicallly all Grandes had the vinyl roof but not every Mustang with a vinyl roof was a Grande. There was even a vinyl roof on some sportsroof models. You nailed the hubcaps and even added the turn signals which most would over look. The letters on the trunk only appeared on 71's. Nice touch on the mud flaps and reflectors. it is always nice to see a well built 71-73 Mustang.
  15. Nice ponies. I went to the Sully plantation show which as you know is about only 30 miles away. Too bad they are on the same day.
  16. Here is the before picture. The rear spoiler is hard to see if the after pic. He was very pleased with his mini replica.
  17. I have never seen these made in plastic or resin.
  18. I changed the wheels, painted the steering wheel, added a rear spoiler and VA license plates to make a replica of my friends Mach1 he has owned for 25 plus years. I plan to surprise him with it this weekend.
  19. Firebird designs has the decals.
  20. Missing Link resin has some of the Cobra II parts.
  21. Your last point is so true. So few kids these days could care less about models or old cars. As long as we can click a mouse and turn a key we see what the other old guy are up to and truly enjoy the sights and sounds of old cars.
  22. Very very nice paint and finish. Most kits tend to overdo the chrome parts as in reality many parts would be made of other metals and perphaps polished. It's pretty easy to add plug wires with the pre-wired distributors available from the aftermarket. Of course a Jungle Pam figure (even if it isn't a Jungle Jim car) would make the model look ever better ;-)
  23. The latest annoyance is when you bid on an item a pop us comes up asking if you want to bid higher. You try to close it and nothing happens.
