  1. Here is the Facebook image from Scale Production. https://www.facebook.com/145433628816545/photos/a.654750647884838.1073741827.145433628816545/1287682387924991/?type=3&theater
  2. So any truth to the rumor that a transkit w/o the fully body will be sold by anyone soon? So unless someone has paid license fees to Ford, Foose, Shelby, and Hilacki's widow, any of these cars or parts are technically are violating some patent and/or copyright laws. As David pointed out the image below is to convert a 2005 Mustang into a Eleanor wanabee. I guess the side pipes, wheels and perhaps part of the front clip could be used on a 67/68 Mustang with the rest being scratch built.
  3. Who would have thought all these years later it would still be popular? That's me on the right.
  4. Welcome. GT40's are one of my favorite cars. That and Mustangs, Cobras and Panteras.
  5. You might be better off with getting an extra kit to save time from all paint stripping you'll need to do.
  6. Nice job with a bad kit. I built mine Mad Max style.
  7. One of my gripes about this kit is they did not redo the front bumper. On the Boss and regular Mustangs in 71 they had a narrow chrome front bumper. Only the Mach1's had the urethane front bumper. Of course a rear spoiler looks like it belongs on a Boss (and the front too). The louvers were not offered by Ford (only for 69/70) and there is one minor flaw in the kit ( no BOSS 351 engine) or anything close to it much less a ram air setup. I guess that is all to be expected when they use a 71 Fastback kit that was updated to a 73 and give you some decals and the proclaim it to be a Boss, At least they did get the grill correct for a Boss/Mach1/Sprint but that's about it.
  8. Old Mini Exotics body with Fujumi chassis.
  9. MCW Spray or Airbrush bottle. 6431 Skylight Blue http://www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/paint/ford.html
  10. Yes - that is the Type 65 Supercoupe.
  11. It would REALLY nice if they redid the whole chassis with inner fenders and an actual 351 Cleveland and 429CJ engine (not a 302 and 428). As they have not made any changes to these molds in decades, I'm not holding my breath. The Boss 351 kit was a joke - no 351 engine - just some decals.
  12. It still looks nice and has aged well. That grille is tripping up everyone though. ;-)
  13. I noticed looking back at my two builds of this kit that the chrome grille should actually only be chrome on the outer edge and the rest body color except of course for the grille itself. I build these two GT500's many years ago but recently went back to correct the oversight.
  14. Welcome and check out the Midnight Modelers down your way in Stafford. I'm at the Northernmost point of Virginia about ten miles west of DC. I try to go to the MAMA meetings every month in Greenbelt which is about 20 miles from me. Rex
  15. Great - my bank account is going to love that.
  16. I think these are diecast by cool nonetheless.
  17. Great job. Follow this thread. The resin kit combines parts from the 68 AMT and the 67 Ertl kits. It's too bad no one makes the ram air plenum under the hood for the GT500KR.
  18. Post some updates Cruz ;-) Mine is coming along and I'll get some pics up soon.
  19. I've built a few of these Lemans Miniatures kits and just bought these two off Ebay. They have amazing detail for as little as they are.
  20. I bought one too and will also need another interior tub and boot as I started my own 67 Mustang GT convertible conversion but could not come up with a good interior. Good thing he sells the parts separately upon request.
  21. Norm is always coming out with new stuff so his catalog is probably out of date by the time you get it. I'd suggest you call him - tell him what you're building and I'm sure he can tell you what he has. Check out this Fotki link from Craig Stansfield for some of his products. The posting looks to be about a year old.. http://public.fotki.com/crstan/replican-and-miniat/replicas-and-miniat/
  22. The Gunze kit is way over priced when you factor in the HRM kit to it.
  23. I'd love to build all six :-) but I have one unbuilt HRM and a built Sunze one I did many years.
