Got this pretty simple kit a couple months ago. It's pretty much a slot car kit. Not much to it, but it came out alright and I have a nice example of a car I've been wanting for awhile. And, it didn't cost me as much as some of the other kits on the market. SAM_1848 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_1849 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

Nice, I want to re-do mine a bit. I'm just sad the grill broke on it in shipping and I had to improvise some parts.

Very Nice! I've been wanting to get a 2nd one, but they're very hard to come by now. I was lucky to find my first one at a good price. -
Yeah, I had to look some up so I could get the colors right. Since it's technically a GM product and I had some Hugger orange left, I decided to go with that. I think it's one of the better colors to make it in that complements the stripes.

Saw the DDA kits starting to pop up on eBay and decided to finally get one. I paid a fairly good amount for it too. They aren't cheap kits. They are pretty nice though. You get a very nice hinged collector's box, tools, decals, and screws for the kit. It's a pretty simple to build model. Most of it is like a snap-tite kit. My only problems were the lack of a full engine, no plated parts for the grill/bumpers, and a rubber distributor w/spark-plug wires (which I left off because it was a nightmare to try to get put in place). It's the first kit I got a can of spray chrome to try to do the bumpers and grill. Not the same as the plated parts, but it looks alright. Over all, I'd say the DDA kits are pretty good and I want to get the 4-door Falcon kit for Christmas if I have the money. My hope is that the continue their line of Aussie cars and make a Charger, Monaro, or 2-0door Falcon next. No, at least not in the version I got. Unfortunately, you have to paint it on.

After my Challenger, this is one of the few cars on the road today that I would want to drive. I finished this last week, and wanted to upload the photos, but with losing kitty I didn't have the time or motivation to do it. So this model is a bit of a dedication to her memory since it was my last build before losing her. The model itself is one of their best. It goes together quite easy and only has a couple of issues. One is the engine; which I believe was already mentioned in a previous thread. You build it, but the majority of it can't be seen! The chassis was also hard to get on. I had to fight it to get it to fit right. The hood for the engine is also a very tight fit. So tight, it's hard to get the hood up to view the engine. So I left it closed. Only other criticism I had was having to paint the head and tail lights. Just a personal preference of not having to do that. Some may notice that the area around the rear vent down is supposed to be black. I just thought it looked better in body color. I'm sure it's an option anyway. If I could afford a new Corvette, this is the exact car I would want. I've seen a Hugger Orange one driving around town and I thought that was the best, most suiting color for one. It shows off all the car's highlights. Used to see a bunch of these in the Charleston area in the early 2000s. Just sitting in people's yards rusting away.

Thanks everyone. It's been a rough day. -
It's been a rough year, first I lost my dad and now her. This was Dippy. I've had her since college. She spent her first few months living in my bathroom after my step-mom got her. She used to curl up in my pants while I was in there. She ended up finding out my room was off limits and spent most of her time with me so she wouldn't be bothered. Ever since she has been my constant companion. When I moved out she came with me and rarely left my side. Last year she got diagnosed with feline diabetes. Saturday she slipped into a coma and I had to put her down this morning. I'm barely keeping it together. She was the best pet I ever had. I'm really gonna miss her.

Now I might just have to get another one. -
Beautiful. Looks a lot better than mine.

That the metal kit? I had someone buy me a red one years ago as a Christmas present. Yours came out good. Any problems with the hood? The one on mine had poor fit.

I got this a few months ago and finally got around to building it. I was pretty excited to see it when it was announced. I never thought I'd see a kit of a Canadian vehicle, let alone a Canadian Mercury truck! The kit itself isn't too bad. My only problem being the installation of the clear pieces. Which they tell you to do from the inside. The windshield needs to be placed in from the front. The fit to the frame is also a little hard to get right. Installation of the lettering for the decals kinda sucks too. Each letter is its own decal. Not fun to put on and I lost the M for the hood. Which is quite small. Over all though, it is a very nice kit and a welcome addition to my collection.
