  1. Im looking forward to this Jim. I have a short hood General in the canon also. I saw a cool one built years ago with 72" spread walking beam, and spokes all around. That build was inspiring. If you dont have a lift gate, let me know. I think I just saw one the other day, and your welcome to it.
  2. What can I say, great idea, great execution, great color , great build all around. Another Orange One comes to life!
  3. Cool project! Ive been wanting to order some of those wheels myself. Is that the front spokes from the fire truck kit? Ive bought a few of the fire trucks just to get those. The spokes in the 1/32 volvo are nice also.
  4. Another excellent tractor build from Chuck!
  5. What a great build! Not only have I seen tractors like this, but my uncle had a Fergusen with a homemade front loader and a crane boom on the back. His was many different shades of rust though. This brought back memories. Great job Chuck.
  6. That black really brings it all out. Its looking good now!
  7. Amazing work Brian. This is one of my top two favorites right now. This thing would look great in front of some doubles.
  8. Excellent work Sam! This is one of my favorite builds going on right now.
  9. Excellent build. That looks great!
  10. Thanks Dennis, your right about the body work. There is a fair amount of body work in the Western Star hood also.
  11. Some things being worked on: I just about have the KW S2 hood ready for paint, them Movin On decals. I think Im gonna go with the Aussie style headlights, 4 big singles, even though te rest of the truck will be the US version. White Wester Star 112"BBC SBFA hood. I still need to add the strip to the top of the fenders that AMT forgot, and scribe the seperation in the fenders where it would be two pieces. Dump body that will eventually go on this glue bomb Western Star.
  12. Pat, I can supply you with either the Opel Blitz tank, or the AC Mack tank if you need it. Just lemme know. Keep up the great work!
  13. I was just looking at some of those wheels. I look forward to see how they work out.
  14. Awesome, glad I could help
  15. Wow! What a great build. You know this is my eye candy. Great job on the Holmes and the functional hood. The upgraded wheels look great under it also. This is very clean and carefully done build. Excellent work sir.
  16. The paint has set enough for a mockup. Im happy with the color choice.
  17. There probably wont be a dedicated tractor for this, but I think it would look good behind a cabover.
  18. Ok, I settled on some colors. Frame is blue, container is red oxide primer. I will apply decals to primer, then clear flat over it. Im happy with the choices.
  19. Pat, Illini has that K8 in resin. Its not online, I think he only has it listed in the paper list. I dont know if your interested, but I have a few extra First Gear B models cabs/hood/etc. Its a little heavier than the resin, but it already has opening doors, and hood. I know I have at least one that Im not planning in using, so let me know.
  20. YEAH BUDDY!!!! Ive been waitin for this! Dennis, that looks awesome already. Those front fenders look great?
  21. Thanks a lot guys. This was inpired on the trip back from Disney World. I rode on side of one for awhile, and thought, Why not? Lee, I realize that the way Ive built it is not exactly correct, but the one I used for inpiration had some frame sticking out from the front, and back. I know that some of theses chassis have sliding axles and can be slid out to extend past the container. I just built a rigid version of this. Its good for other projects to get a simple build knocked out. I have to say that the container went together pretty nicely, and it fit the trailer almost too well.
  22. Ive seen a few people build trailers for these Italeri 20' containers, and I was inspired to build one using the dump trailer frame. It was a fairly easy conversion to pull off.Construction is completed, and all I have tl do is paint, so theres no reason not to complete it. I used the smaller tires from the lowboy re-issue. They fit the rims much better than the kit tires that dont fit at all. I used rectangle tube for the outriggers to support the container, and the rear bumper. I made new landing gear using square tube(the feet are temporary. I added angle underneath the outriggers, where the mudflaps will attatch. I hope to at least have it primed tomorrow, maybe painted. I have no idea of colors yet. Thanks for looking.
