  1. Here we go again, confusing the car guys?. Im in, just havent decided on a build yet. Ive got it narrowed down to two, both Fords.
  2. Nice build. Sorry to hear about your father. Modeling can often be a good way to remember someone, or pay tribute. I still have a truck and trailer on the shelf given to me as a gift by my late brother. Ive also modeled rigs driven by my dad and grandfather. Nice work converting the exhaust for the car hauler. Is this based on his actual truck?
  3. This is definitely my favorite of Ginos builds. I would love to have this truck. There are so many subtle changes made, that make it the best. RIP Gino
  4. This is one of my favorite of his builds. This is a great old Mack. RIP Gino
  5. I really liked this one also. RIP Gino
  6. Some excellent custom work on this one. RIP Gino.
  7. RIP Gino. This is a great Freightliner backdate.
  8. Wow...thats a tragedy. Gino was a great builder. This is kind of a shock. Hopefully his models go to a good home. My thoughts are with his family.
  9. Tom, you really knocking out these Italeri trucks! Another great build, and that trailer looks great behind it.
  10. Nice Haul Jacobus. I recently bought one of those Autocars myself. Its a really nice casting.
  11. Most likely for that time period would have been a Cummins 220, and it would have been yellow. Ive seen plenty of these in original trucks and restorations and they are yellow. It almost looks like a Cat, but its a Cummins.Google Cummins 220, or H model and youll see what I mean. Not sure if this photo link will work.
  12. Thanks Dan, yup thats a lot of Fords. I wanted to scoop up the meobius fords before theyre gone, and the Super Stone kits were Hob lob coupons as was the Super Boss. Heres a few more that came in this week. This might be it for awhile.
  13. The LT and LTS are available from plaskit in resin, and the longhood was available through AITM at one time.
  14. Can you show a pic of what you have, or looking for?
  15. Frontier Resins on ebay sells a conventional cab that looks like what your design is based on. Its 1/24 and I have one, but have not built it yet. He cast a daycab, and a sleeper cab version but he doesnt list them too often. Maybe try to contact him and see if you can get one. If you have trouble finding him, let me know and Ill try to find a link.
  16. Not a bad idea. The frame detail is much nicer. Nice build.
  17. This sure is another great build. That hood work is a thing of beauty.
  18. Could it be a typo, and should be SD/DD since it says 2 in 1? It would be great to have both sets of parts in one kit. It would be great to make an extended frame tri axle.
  19. Havent posted any in awhile, but Ive had some come in recently so Ill start posting again.
  20. Yes, it can certainly have been a glider, or the result of two wrecked trucks/ blown motor/cab fire situation. If it was me, I would probably go with a Mack camelback or a Rockwell rear susp and call it a day.
  21. The HD400 came with several Cummins models(NHC250-270-NTC-335-NTC-350-NTA-380), Spicer trans, and a Hayes elliptical free floating leaf springs that will probably have to be scratch built. The rear suspension is the biggest hurtle.
  22. The Autocars are hidden deap within the woods, in a cave, rigged with a giant boulder?
  23. Just worked a great trade with K100! Thanks a lot Mark. Ive also recently worked great trades with AaronW, Driptroit, JimB, and I trade about once a week with GuitarSam. Thanks Gentlemen.
  24. All of the Brockways have butterfly hoods except the later 761's had a tilt hood. I cant say whether the V12 would fit, but with a little finess anything is possible. Most 1:1 trucks with a V12 had an extended hood. The V8 would definitely fit. As for opening the hood, your going to have to cut it apart and hinge it, or just cut it so the hood will lift off from the fenders as one piece. A V engine would have dual exhaust, an inline 6 diesel would typically be single but many have it split into dual. The best way to get your exhaust is from the trading post. Im sure I have leftover V8 exhaust from the Peterbilt kits. The Super Boss kit is currently in stores, and has the Detroit V12, but has modified racing exhaust. With a hobby lobby coupon its worth picking up. The resin cab is a little thicker than a kit cab, so you may want to just cut the hood off and make a new one from sheet aluminum or something like that. The Brockway hood shape wouldnt be too difficult to replicate.
