  1. Styling cues brought forward from the 65 Mustang Fastback and the Mach I Mustang
  2. Would disc brakes be included in the Traditional Hot Rod" category ? First used on American cars in 1963 (Avanti) and then in all of the big 4 in 1965. I personally would not put them in a "THR" build (Love your THR photos)
  3. I made my own vacuum former that has about a 8"x 14" area. I made this to duplicate a Cobra Daytona body for slot car racing. My problem was that it would not curve in around the lower part of the body. It would just go straight down and not go in to the lower sides. Never tried using it for any thing since.
  4. You do know I have it copy righted don't you ?
  5. Other than the clear coated bare steel body I like it (you ever going to get over the "same group" thing? I am totally past it myself)
  6. We could always do a build on Jan and Deans "Schlock Rod" Did they make a 48 Buick kit?
  7. The Deuce on the album does not represent the car in the song very well. First of all Olds OHV not a Flattie. Secondly there is to much custom work on it Should be a bit more on the basic lower budget type ride. The Hot Rod Lincoln has fenders and has a V12 and its has a song of it's own (originally it was black, not red). My vision of the "Lil Deuce Coupe would be a 3 or 5 window, none fendered with a flathead Close to this
  8. Welcome to the forum From the sounds of your interests you and I have a few things in common. I have spent a lot of time sitting in traffic in Dundee LOL Check out my Facebook page (link in my signature). I started it because I also found myself with more kits in the attic that I can build. So I set up a page so I can find local modelers that can trade or sell and just show off there work. And just BS some
  9. Thank you for the information Tom I am going to duplicate the 66 1:1 that I now own. I have most everything I need. You could stuff a Hemi in one but only with major modifications. The 66 did not have the bulge (?) along the top of the front fenders and I think the tail lights may be different also. Not mention the Barracuda on the grill and the lack of the Valiant badgeing. I consider the 64 and 65 a Valiant with a Sport Roof and the 66 as the unofficial first Barracuda.
  10. I had a 71 Pinto with side pipes. Had them on both sides but I only used the one on the right.
  11. I picked up a partial ERTL (?) 66 Barracuda kit. I am not sure what kit its from as there was no box or instruction sheet. I did find a AMT 2 in 1 kits where this kit may have originated. There is also a 65 Barracuda. I believe they came with a slant 6 and a Hemi engine.
  12. Loved the show, great actor RIP
  13. Are you including the 66 Barracuda like the blue one pictured? If so definitly
  14. This cars exhaust seems to be visually balanced. When the Intake and exhaust have the proper balance of pipeage the aesthetics are easy on the eye and draw the viewers attention to the powerful power plant installed there. (but maybe that's just me ?)
  15. I have used a few times with embossing powder then painted it.
  16. Nice pipes are always a plus except when they look like bagpipes.
  17. Looks like the "Soccer Mom" version of the Monkeemobile
  18. I only had that problem when I had too many pics already on here.
  19. i also like except for the pipes. Would make a good Hot Wheel
  20. Maybe I need to find that Lindberg body and have someone make resin copies ?
  21. My deepest thanks to all the Police that serve and protect. I was told long ago that a policeman/woman is like another person but with less rights. Now the seem to be getting shot down for doing their job protecting us all. I hope everyone of the scum are tracked down and prosecuted to the full intent of the law. I am deeply saddened when I hear about one of these incidents happening
