  1. I agree Jonathan, and hopefully other wheels will fit into these tires and vice versa, I am imagining many possibilities.
  2. So I stopped at the Ollie's in Matthews again as I always look around for household cleaning supplies there (much cheaper than Target or grocery store) and saw they had moved the models and had some kits not seen earlier this month. I picked up another snap Blazer (might try making it into a Suburban) and they had more AMT kits than last time. I did notice that in my usual spam email I had a message from Ollie's offering a 15% discount on one transaction, must be a result of having an "Ollie's Card". Could be a great way to scoop up some models cheaper yet! Sign up for one of their cards and save today!
  3. Thanks for the update Harry, continued prayers and wishes for a full recovery.
  4. Thanks for the pictures Chuck, looks like a nice, cleanly molded kit. I suspect that Revell has a good seller on it's hands with this kit, I know I will be picking up several myself.
  5. Welcome back and really liking the way you are going at this. Nice details and clean paint, should be beautiful when done.
  6. Noticed that there are a couple of eBay sellers listing this kit for sale. Not in too big of hurry, I can wait a bit longer to get mine.
  7. Not sure if you have an Ollie's near you, but some of them have that Blazer for $7.99.
  8. The HL in Matthews NC didn't have any models on clearance...yet. I suspect that these markdowns are done regionally and what is happening in other towns will eventually make it to the rest of country.
  9. A good way to get a bunch of us all excited around here is say something like "I stopped at the local hobby shop and they got the Bronco in" and then not show us what is inside the box! Hopefully that means the online retailers will be shipping pre-orders soon.
  10. Nice start, like where you are going with this. I just picked up another one of those Blazer kits today at Ollies, might have to consider using two of them like you did here to build a 'Burban!
  11. I'd swear that is a real truck! Incredible scratchbuilding and weathering.
  12. Got one of those here in Charlotte for about $10, figured it was worth that much in parts alone. Gonna drop that 429 into a Mobieus F100!
  13. Check your mailbox Matt, I finally got the measurements you wanted!
  14. He shut it down 8 years ago. He had nice stuff.
  15. You could probably modify a frame from a Jeep kit to work. Not sure P&P is still shipping items, hadn't seen Eric at any local shows and rumor had it he has been sick and not casting as of late.
  16. Ah, admit it Harry, it was a subliminal message to buy a back issue of the magazine! Glad to see you on here more, hope you are doing better these days!
  17. The B&N at the Arboretum in Charlotte had issue 202 today, made for some good reading during meal time!
  18. Check with RMR resins, I think they have one. Don't believe it was ever available as a plastic kit.
  19. Agreed, but I would imagine one of the reasons we are seeing this kit is that there was minimal tooling costs. Body, chassis, interior and glass is all they needed- running gear and suspension pieces, bumpers and hood were already done. Be interesting to see if they do a panel delivery or a surf wagon next!
  20. Back when I traveled a lot for work, I signed up for the card at a store in Midlothian VA, only to find out that the discounts associated with the card were for that store only. I would find some stuff to buy and then via email I would get a coupon. Tried to use it here in Charlotte and at first was turned away, until the owner stepped in and honored it. I like the idea of getting a rebate or discount, but unfortunately the closest HT is about an hour away and they always had kits at full MSRP, paints and supplies were high too.
  21. I doubt we will see a 4wd version, but converting a 2wd to 4wd shouldn't be too much of a problem.
  22. You ain't the only one buddy! I traded off a badly cast resin body in the hopes that someone would do it right, and it sounds like they are! Glad to hear Revell listening and bringing us some much needed new stuff!
  23. The wife went to see it when it first came out. Living in Charlotte, we indirectly knew a couple of people that were on that flight. It was well reviewed and received here in Charlotte by some of the passengers. The plane is on display at the aviation museum here at the airport. Glad you liked it Harry! That must be a good sign if you are out enjoying the movies!!!!
  24. Thanks for sharing, lot of nice models there, really liked the two red Jeeps, especially the wrecker !
