  1. Got my two Dodge pickups from Modelroundup!
  2. google, try it some time, might be surprised what you find.
  3. The problem is that this topic veered off into a bunch of what ifs and what abouts. Instead of staying on the topic of the models shown, it became a chat fest about anything Revell, including Ed Sexton, models that should be released, and models that people want but with changes. Sorry it offended you, but there are topics out there on the Model A and it's been widely discussed that the molds have been damaged. How/when/if the kit will return is a question best asked of someone like Ed Sexton, not the forum "experts" who claim to know.
  4. Thanks Chris. Some people don't see the forest for the trees.
  5. Looks nice, great job!
  6. Funny how this topic went from showing what is new from Revell shown at the Milwaukee NNL into a "If I ran Revell" or "What they need to do is....." rant and rave! Seriously? So Revell is re-issuing some kits, some we like, some we don't. Pretty simple concept- buy em if ya like em, don't if ya don't. The ability to stay on topic in this forum escapes so many. If you want to comment on why they haven't mentioned the '30 A model kit, go to that topic and revive it, don't wander.
  7. Considering the 2wd stepside kit hasn't been re-issued leads me to believe the tooling was changed and the molds aren't available for the 2wd version. One can hope and maybe Round2 will give us that kit! Many of us thought we would never see the Dodge pickup again, were told the molds were gone and yet here we are! I suspect the 4wd version could happen as some of the parts are already in this reissued kit! Time will tell!
  8. That kit has been around in several variations for years. I have built it in the past, first time back in the late seventies when it was shown as the Sport Pickup (Black truck on box). The version I had in the stash was a blue truck, issued by Monogram in the early 90's. Don't look for any new truck kits beyond what Moebius is bringing out
  9. Most likely he is there to help launch the US office and operations and get things running here in the US. I am not sure but my guess is that Ed has to be getting close to retirement, so this could be his way of using his wealth of knowledge and helping his retirement plan. Of course there is the notion he is doing it for the hobby!
  10. Glad to hear Ed Sexton is working with Revell, it will be interesting to see if they develop any new kits or just update existing tools and milk their catalog much like Round 2 has. As some have noted, not much on that display gets me excited. I had a version of the Chevy pickup for years (bought around 1994) and never built it, not sure if I will get one this time now that I have sold it off.
  11. Got an email from The Modelroundup that my two Dodge pickup kits have been shipped out today!
  12. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  13. Thanks Nick!
  14. Thanks for the pictures Nick, hope there are more as the show was always my favorite one when I lived in the area.
  15. It was a test shot Al, actual kits pieces will be warped! LOL
  16. That Blazer looks decent, how clean is the casting? Does the kit include windows or templates to make them? Are there axles (2wd or 4wd) included? How much was it?
  17. Looks great, that red/black combo fits it perfectly. Might want to make the front bumper out of some C channel. Simple and easy to do yet gives it a heavy duty look.
  18. I don't expect an employee of a big box store to have the knowledge or passion for something like model car kits nor do I expect them to seek out employees who do. I do expect a hobby shop to have knowledgeable people though, as that is their specialty. Having worked in retail, the concept of "facing the shelves" entails filling empty slots to give the impression of not being out of stock. Many times it is because management is coming to visit and they can't tell a '69 Camaro from a '69 Mustang, but they do see an open slot on the shelf. If I have to look around a bit at Hobby Lobby to find what I want, then that is fine with me, it's a huge store and they have lots to tend to, like getting the Christmas stuff out by the fourth of July. If it bothers you that much, then stop and take a minute to fix it, I am sure the workers would appreciate the help.
  19. Thanks for sharing Dann, those are some beautiful pieces and I am sure worth every penny. I look forward to the day when more 3D printed stuff is like that and at a reasonable cost for more builders. And don't apologize for being particular about what you are looking for, it's your right as a consumer. Some people are happy with price, others with subject regardless of quality and a few seek perfection.
  20. I had messaged Joseph at Fireball Modelworks about the possibility of developing some items for the Dodge and he said he was too busy with all that he has on his plate to even start new stuff. I am hoping others in the resin community see the opportunity to bring us some goodies.
  21. Casey was working on some parts and pieces a couple of years ago, don't think it ever made it to the casting stage. Sure would be nice to have some parts to back date the pickup and the Commando.
  22. To be fair,I did write a disclaimer at the bottom of my post Rob!
  23. I am getting ready for a trip today and noticed the mailman came early, so I thought I would check the mail before packing the car and heading out. Imagine my delight and surprise to find the latest issue of MCM in the mailbox! I am so stoked to have this along for the trip and will definitely read it cover to cover! I suggest that you check your calendar before replying or posting on this thread.
  24. I just looked at the website and it clearly states the price and how many are included, not sure what you are seeing. Is there a particular tire or wheel you are looking at?
  25. You are really going all out with the details! That is looking great and should be a beauty when done!
