  1. Was hoping he would get relief so he could get back to work on the magazine, doesn't sound too promising now.
  2. Another entry of the "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" category.
  3. A lot of times a trip down the toy aisle at a Wal Mart or Target will yield some nice wheels. If you have an Ollie's Outlet near you they get some nice toys in that are cheap and can provide some wheels/tires.
  4. Thanks for the heads up, guess my wallet can go into hibernation if that is what's coming from Round 2. Unless Revell has something I can't live without, I will have to build something from my stash!
  5. Nothing shown that I need or want. Hopefully next month brings better pickings!
  6. I have one of the Modelhaus camper resin kits and was thinking about using the "Burban as the tow vehicle. This should be a nice set up when you are done, love the 4wd set up on this!
  7. Awesome pictures, incredible models and some familiar faces there Tim, thank you for taking the time to share them with us!
  8. Gonna be ordering a few sets of those wheels and tires, along with that dump bed when it's ready!
  9. Maybe Danny at Scenes Unlimited could come to the rescue? He has tires and would only need to carve up some new wheels.
  10. Watched this progress and it came out beautiful! Love the details and you nailed that dump body!
  11. I believe that would be Kris Morgan at MAD. Not sure that it's listed on his website.
  12. Looks great, that bumper looks HD! Love the details, what are you doing for mirrors?
  13. While not born or raised in NC, I did choose to move here 14 years ago and don't regret leaving the Chicago suburbs one bit! Yes , this area has changed and the worst part is that people move in from other areas and demand it be like the area they moved from! Really? If you miss (fill in the blank) that much, move back there and leave us alone! As the migration from over populated, over taxed, run down parts of the country continues, look for this to continue. If I wanted to have those problems, I would have stayed in Chicago and at least had a decent hot dog or pizza available.
  14. I think Hobby Lobby's strategy is to price kits higher knowing many people use the 40% off coupon. $22.99 minus the $9.20 is $13.79, more reasonable price to pay for a snap kit.
  15. MAD also has that resin long bed, not sure where that crew cab came from. The resin long bed is $15, nice piece, smooth and clean. Kris is on here, he might do some trading if you have something he needs, worth asking!
  16. Drove a couple of different LR's in High School back in 80-82 at the dealership I worked at. Not much for comfort or easy to shift trans but they never got stuck in snow or mud, and we tried hard! Might have to get one for nostalgia's sake.
  17. I get it Mark, but the only way to recreate that old truck is with the kit and a resin grille, unless someone has an old grille to trade or give away. I haven't seen a price on the grille, but I would think it would be very reasonable. The Modelhaus sold their plated grille for $7.
  18. I'm going, maybe even get a table to sell off some of the stash!
  19. Jim, The 68 Chevelle was released earlier this year, but sold out quickly. The next production run should be arriving soon and then it will be available.
  20. Probably came and went before you could get one. Should be there soon enough.
  21. Contact Kris at MAD, he is working on getting them on the website but I think he has them ready to go. He's a member here (Kris Morgan). Depending on the look you are going for, Danny at Scenes Unlimited has multiple options. He has stock, steel wheels and regular sized tires or he has off road wheels and bigger tires. Easy to order from and great service. Also check out Chief Joseph at Fireball Modelworks as he has some nice wheel and tire combinations.
  22. There are a lot of other cars one could buy with $300,000 to enjoy and drive on the street. It will take a real NASCAR fan or museum to pay anywhere close to that price.
  23. Dug this old post up because I was watching last week's episode and when Jamie, Brandon and Paris are on that hillside towing that old Blazer, I noticed they all were wearing Mack ball caps! I wonder if that is a tease for the new truck?
  24. Now you can Mark, with the reissued kit and a grille from MAD, the truck pictured can be built (in 2wd).
  25. There's always a chance. I didn't think the snap tite Toyota pickup would be there and yet, they have it, so it's possible.
