Has there been any news regarding when this truck will be available? Haven't seen anything on pre-orders so I am guessing it is a ways off?

Yellow tags at Hobby Lobby
mikemodeler replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I recently bought an Ott Lite with the magnifier. It had the yellow tag price and IIRC, when I did the math it was calculated at 50% off. Saw the same stickers on the airbrushes too, so pretty sure they took the preemptive strike and discounted it for you. Tried to upload an image of the sticker but the forum isn't allowing me to. -
Looks good, especially if you are replicating a new top or one that has been taken care of.

Happy Valentines Day for Car Modelers!
mikemodeler replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ditto! She's been on a diet and she's crabby enough without me adding to it! Celery sticks might get me a hug, chocolate will have her reaching for a rolling pin! -
KFS Holmes Wrecker Body
mikemodeler replied to Warren D's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
This would be most welcomed news. I have gone back and forth on whether or not I will build my large wrecker kits or sell them off and now it sounds like maybe I will be building them. I collected kits over the years with the idea of building a whole fleet from light duty, medium duty to heavy duty. A medium duty Holmes 500 or 600 would be great to have too! -
Moebius 66 Ford F100 Pickup preview

I noticed that they only had the stepside bed kit available for pre-order, wonder how much longer before the Utility Bed and styleside kits will be out? -
Yes, just when we thought there was a company that could bring our wishlists to life. Sure hope they continue to issue kits.

Coming along nicely, love that shade of green. '69s are my favorite, have a bunch in the display case.

I suffer from CSBM too!

After selling about 50 kits in January, I have found myself buying a few more, even after I swore I didn't need any. Just today I was at Michael's with my 60% off coupon and then went to Hobby Lobby and used my 40% off coupon. I will not buy another kit until that Dodge D-100 pickup comes out, I swear! -
Looking forward to having this kit back. The box art is somewhat vague as to whether or not it is a long bed or short bed. I know much has been said about it being a long bed, will have to wait and see what we actually get.

What's the latest Revell North America News

Doesn't look like they have anything new planned for 2019, but at least they are keeping the brand alive. -
1/25 Revell '63 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe SnapTite
mikemodeler replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
It has a big block under the hood, so it's pretty fitting to have the hood Dave. I built a replica of it with the snap fast kit and big block hood and used the flames stickers too. -

Lee, An old co-worker of mine who has built some pretty cool cars over the years built this 63 Corvette split window with a big block. /home/michael/Downloads/10603431_880562868639890_5874987499704933316_n.jpg -
Hobby Lobby still carries the 57 Chevy and hopefully Revell will bring the 63 Vettes back out soon. Those Monte's build up nice, I have a few yet to build in the stash, gonna be doing wheel swaps though, those wheel wells are huge!

Time For a Workbench Makeover!
mikemodeler replied to 2002p51's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That looks much better and more organized, nice job. I recently upgraded my workbench lighting to a couple of OttLites from Hobby Lobby, including one with a magnifier and what a difference! My next task is to clean up and better organize my workbench like you have so my tools and paints are sorted and easy to find. -

Those are great kits, I have several of the convertibles and hardtops to build. Great way to spend a Saturday detailing and painting them, they make for a great shelf model when done. -
That is looking good so far and should be a beauty when done!
