  1. Those kit tires limit you on what wheels can be used if you stick with them. As Landman mentioned, Fireball Modelworks has some nice wheel and tires, as does Danny at Scenes Unlimited. Both offer beautiful products, great prices and fast service.
  2. Thanks, just found a way to spend $75 in a matter of seconds!
  3. Nice work, love seeing different versions of this kit, gives me ideas for mine!
  4. Another Coca Cola kit from AMT/Round2????? Who would have guessed?????
  5. A lot of nice rides there, hard to pick my favorite dozen! Thanks for sharing Tim!
  6. Nice work on the car, love the color choices! There was a Nickey Camaro featured in MuscleCarReview a while back in turquoise, I know the car and the owner, want to build a replica of it someday.
  7. It's the stepside kit that is out, other versions will follow, much like the series of 68-72 Ford pickups did.
  8. For some, it's not how much money they can make as it is the chase- being the one that clears out the aisle of discounted models. Same mentality when Ollie's has kits on clearance and someone has to be the first to get there and scoop up the good deals. I have seen some people take those "deals" and try to double their money at hobby shows.
  9. Some of the kits mentioned in this thread are also listed online in their clearance section. Unfortunately they are only priced at 40% off, not the 75% off the store is selling them for.
  10. I would contact them and see if they would. They might have a body that the back end didn't come out of the mold and could sell you the front half. If you don't ask, you won't know! Mine showed up today but unfortunately I am not home for a few days to see it!
  11. Nice, anxious to see what all you pull together for this- Bed, frame, cabs, Etc!
  12. What, no rust or patina? You okay Chuck? Nice job, love the color and details.
  13. A modern wrecker body would be most welcome as would one of the older Holmes beds- 440, 500, 600 or 750!
  14. That looks great Jim, just might have to get another Utility Bed kit!
  15. Nice job, as usual, in building a weathered kit.
  16. Nope, it is the new Moebius/Model King release. Really nice utility bed and kit overall.
  17. I built one of those Model King Vega re-issues a few years back and would rather see a stock version of the Vega. '71-73 model years would be nice but likely won't be that lucky.
  18. There is no money to be made on a stripped down truck, that is why you don't see them on the lot unless it is a dealer that supplies fleets and he has some for that purpose.
  19. I have seen people do the same thing when Ollie's has a clearance sale. Someone at a hobby show a couple of years ago was trying to sell $5 kits for $15!
  20. Considering the Revell kit has the bed molded as one piece, not sure how to replicate the front header and floor with butchering up a kit bed. I am thinking if you had a resin one piece bed or even if you had it as 5 pieces (2 sides, header, floor and tailgate), it might be a better seller, and I know I would buy one or two myself.
  21. Doesn't look too bad from here, like those tires on those wheels!
  22. Did you try calling them to ask where one can find coupons? I have seen that as well but do not order regularly from MRU so I never bothered to inquire.
  23. If you open the hood, make sure your "710" cap is on tight!
  24. Actually it is 75% off tagged price. Nice to get kits for $7.50, but unfortunately most stores are cleared out within hours of the markdowns. It is nice to know that HL can mark down kits 75% and still make money!
  25. Heard it is going to have Coca Cola decals in it, like everything AMT!
