  1. Warmer Weather! I've had the old Shovelhead out several times this year and three times this week. And yesterday for the first time this year I was able to do some airbrushing, getting my 60 El Camino ready for the Stark model car show...
  2. Coming together nicely...
  3. Very nicely done...
  4. Very nice

  6. Nicely done!
  7. Once I found the correct wheelbase, subtracting the kits wheelbase told me how far to move the opening. Cutting, sliding to piece back and filling the gap with styrene. A little body filler and there it is.
  8. How about a stock wheelbase "STREET FREAK" Chevy II... Just for kicks last year I relocated the rear wheel openings and since it is still snowing outside I went ahead and stretched the frame to fit the new wheelbase. After I get the interior tub and chassis lined up I'll continue with tubing the engine compartment and roll cage. Wheels and tires from the parts box...
  9. Turning out quite nicely, great subject and movie. Never apologize!
  10. Not much better than a great save, nice work so far...
  11. I’m patiently waiting to see that final color! And maybe 1 in 10,000 will even ask about the roof, but to each their own.

    I like it!
  13. Aside from the accusational, somewhat smart arse comment, your Corvette is looking good. Even the roof looks fine from here. How do you like using that primer? How did it dry? How was Sanding? I've been using Tamiya primer/paint with great results, but cost is high. Would love to find a good replacement.
  14. Great looking group, here's two I recently finished.
  15. Nicely done. Which kit did you start with?
  16. I think it looks pretty nice myself, paint, side marker lights, wheel detail and decals add to the authenticity value. I have four of these kits, two are under construction, Chassis #003 and 005. I have not seen any twist in my frames, but I noticed you filled the chanels in the frame tubes as many of us have done. Could the twist could have happened then?
  17. I see the problem, your using the wrong beer! But really, great job on the 57, cleanly built and nicely detailed...
  18. Good looking 'maro
  19. Thanks DJ...
  20. This about where it's at. This is a real POS, I tried very hard from the beginning test fitting, checking, rechecking and more test fitting. By the time I figure there was no way the glass would fit I was swamped. Now it's just a matter of pride to finish it...
  21. Nice work here...
  22. Good looking vacuform. The Tobias chassis is really outdated for these types of cars. Depending on your skills a scratch built chassis can be made to order or one of the old ASA kits could be modified to fill the need. This is an ASA chassis with a vintage look... You could also use one of the Rat Trap Vega style kits Feel free to browse thru the link, I use to build quite a few short trackers. http://s176.photobucket.com/user/fredjames_2007/library/34 Ford Modified?sort=2&page=1
  23. Absolute lovely model! Very clean build and your attention to detail shows throughout...
  24. Piddle'n with the engine...
