  1. Nice job Bruce. I built one eons ago. I wonder where it ended up.
  2. There is no interior with this cab. I decided to use the interior of the Louisville in the race car hauler kit. Sectioned, hacked and sliced until it looks like it will fit. Looking back, I might have been better to scratcbuild one.
  3. I've seen just about evry shape in styrene, ABS or Brass but haven't seen any splined shafts yet. Do they exist?
  4. Did you tranfer everything to Flickr?
  5. Installed drawer slides under the shelf that holds the engine shop dio. It allows for better lighting for photos and better access to move/add stuff. By removing either end wall, it will also permit new angles for the camera.
  6. Exactly as it would have been, spare and trim.Beautiful save!
  7. Once the location for the front suspension was set I started looking at the location of the engine. Removed the front crossmember and put the front engine support in its place. Installed the transmission support in the same location but inside the frame rails instead of under them. Added a gusset from the parts bin to support the rear of the transmission. Engine fits well with room enough for the rad in front and with everything under the hood area. Hope I won't get disqualified for using an already built engine. The newly freed front crossmember could make a neat cab support.
  8. Mine are scattered all over the place as well. I had appropriated a few shelves in one of the bookcases in the guest bedroom. However when we moved everything around after the repairs to the sewer back up last fall I was told bookcases are for books. My wife bought a case at a flea market and told me to put them in it. It is in the home office. It'll be better for dust protection anyway. This is a temporary setup. These are bookcases that ended up empty after the repairs. They eventually will hold trucks & trailers. They currently hold my engine shop dio. I'm planning to install drawer slides to that shelf so it pulls out to make picture taking easier. Last spring we replaced our kitchen cabinets and I inherited of this glass doored unit. It is in my wife's sewing room. It holds the fixer uppers and my growing collection of engines.
  9. I'm always impressed by your display cases as we see them in your various posts. Is that a thread spool rack holding the paint bottles?
  10. Those are great looking cases. they look sturdy too..
  11. Nice. Could we have a closeup of the paint rack?
  12. What is the difference KJ?
  13. Here we go. Assembled the frame and worked at figuring out the location of the front axle in order to get the right wheelbase. Made the steering poseable using a technique learned here. I wish my memory allowed me to credit the teacher.
  14. Yes, I think it was in What did you see today?
  15. Wow. Did I say Wow? Beautiful job Steve.
  16. Mine will be a single drive R190 with a tank body. The inspiration was this one recently purchased by a friend. It was the airport fuel tender and only has 900 miles or so on it. He sold the tank and will restore it to tow a trailer for his many collectibles. The current project will look a bit like this: The body is a Spaulding resin. The chassis will be from a Ford C600. The engine will be ascratchbuilt Blue Diamond and the tank will be scratchbilt as well.
  17. This is my take on the all chrome, rather sparse and oddly proportioned engine in the '35 Auburn kit . The flanges that the flex exhaust pipes attach to should be the two hole football shaped affairs but I didn't have any that fit over the pipe stubs.
  18. Get well soon Harry. We need someone to "maintain" the standard. All the best for '17.
  19. Ooooh! That sure turns my crank! Beautiful build of a beautiful car.
  20. I've had an old timey stock car in the back of my mind for quite some time. This stupendous build might be what gets me going. Verywell done!
  21. Beautiful. One question, what is the function of the two rings on the trailer?
  22. Here are all three together,a 3406 block mounted on the Revolver getting some work done by the boring machine.
  23. And I bet Steve had his stuff sent to a UPS store on the US side instead of to his house to avoid some ridiculous "brokerage" fee UPS likes to slap on us here.
