  1. This is great stuff guys, thanks for posting these little nuggets of wisdom! I have 6-8 kits in need of some much nicer 32 rails and cross members, etc.! So Bill? When you move, will your address be something like- Down three, and then right.? David S.
  2. I want to build a TROG car soon myself! My thoughts are to use a `29 Ford roadster. I cut the trunk out of it so I could use a louvered lid. David S.
  3. I know you can find 105's and 155's American self-propelled guns. But your needs are a seemingly "no-go" in that area!! At least as far as I know!?! David S.
  4. I love it for sure Chuck!! Very cool!!! David S.
  5. This is a pic of the real bike sitting in the exact same spot where I took the pic of the model! The kit is a Japan only version of the bike, and `81? where as mine was a `82 model of the bike. You have to work with what's available in this hobby, . . . . right!? David S.
  6. This is my Tamiya CB750F Honda 1/12th scale kit that I built many years ago! It is completely out of the box build!
  7. Jon, I just cut open the trunk on a `29 A myself, and I too was amazed at how the louvered lid fit right away!!?!! And it really looks great also!! But the doors however, I think would be an entirely different matter for sure, but I think that I came up with a brain storm on that though!? Are you doing a rumble seat in that car when you get to that point on this build? David S.
  8. I always shoot a spoon with the same (primer, paint, clear) paints all the way through my (rattle can) paint process. And if I put the model away for any reason, I write down what type of paint, and brand of paints that I used. Because there is no way that this old man will remember on his own!! But I got to say, something about your clear choice just screams hot paint to me!?! I would have thought crazing would have been the issue here!! I'm not sure what that is!!?!! David S.
  9. Yes, I agree with Bill! You must find the needed inspiration to build this little gem!!! I just love these kinda builds! David S.
  10. Nice job Trent!! Car looks awesome! Is the carb a Fireball part? Looks so real!
  11. That's pretty cool B.!! Should be interesting to watch! David S.
  12. Nice job!! That's a real nice kit, and a lot of fun to build too!!!
  13. I have been craving my childhood favorite lately! Cornbread with soup beans (pintos) on top, with fried potatoes, salt pork, and raw white onions chunks on the side!!
  14. Just grilled cheese and tomato soup for me! But I really liked it . . . . . a lot!! David S.
  15. I like the paint Dale! Very cool color!!
  16. Wayne is on to something, Black n Gold would look awesome on the build style you have going! Then maybe a cut down windshield frame for that road racer vibe!!?!! David S.
  17. Yeah, that will look really cool! If you drop her down real low, you could section up the rocker panel. Very easy mod with a great look! David S.
  18. Lee, those little trucks you build are really darn cool!! Hats off to you!!
  19. That's great looking White there!! The `54 Chevy P/D gasser looks pretty dang cool too!! Did the Mercury sleeper come with the Road Boss kit? David S.
  20. Hardware stores sell springs of all sizes in little bins with all the different sizes. I have bought them that way many times!! It would have to be like a ACE hardware.
  21. The AMT `55 Belair kit was just re-released about 2 months ago. So that one you should be able to find at hobby shops, Hobby Lobby, LHS, etc.!! The Revell `29 kit however is a bit more on the elusive side though!
  22. Yes-yes-yes!!! This is going to be fun! David S.
  23. I have always wanted to see one of these being built. So I will enjoy watching this!!??️?? David S.
