Stock Model A frames ??
mod3l Lover replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
This is great stuff guys, thanks for posting these little nuggets of wisdom! I have 6-8 kits in need of some much nicer 32 rails and cross members, etc.! So Bill? When you move, will your address be something like- Down three, and then right.? David S. -
I want to build a TROG car soon myself! My thoughts are to use a `29 Ford roadster. I cut the trunk out of it so I could use a louvered lid. David S.

I know you can find 105's and 155's American self-propelled guns. But your needs are a seemingly "no-go" in that area!! At least as far as I know!?! David S.

Roadster Door Hinges ?
mod3l Lover replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Jon, I just cut open the trunk on a `29 A myself, and I too was amazed at how the louvered lid fit right away!!?!! And it really looks great also!! But the doors however, I think would be an entirely different matter for sure, but I think that I came up with a brain storm on that though!? Are you doing a rumble seat in that car when you get to that point on this build? David S. -
Max 2K Clearcoat Gone Wrong
mod3l Lover replied to 69NovaYenko's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I always shoot a spoon with the same (primer, paint, clear) paints all the way through my (rattle can) paint process. And if I put the model away for any reason, I write down what type of paint, and brand of paints that I used. Because there is no way that this old man will remember on his own!! But I got to say, something about your clear choice just screams hot paint to me!?! I would have thought crazing would have been the issue here!! I'm not sure what that is!!?!! David S. -
Yes, I agree with Bill! You must find the needed inspiration to build this little gem!!! I just love these kinda builds! David S.

What Did You Have for Dinner?

I have been craving my childhood favorite lately! Cornbread with soup beans (pintos) on top, with fried potatoes, salt pork, and raw white onions chunks on the side!! -

Wayne is on to something, Black n Gold would look awesome on the build style you have going! Then maybe a cut down windshield frame for that road racer vibe!!?!! David S.

Yeah, that will look really cool! If you drop her down real low, you could section up the rocker panel. Very easy mod with a great look! David S.

Good sources for coil springs
mod3l Lover replied to OldNYJim's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Hardware stores sell springs of all sizes in little bins with all the different sizes. I have bought them that way many times!! It would have to be like a ACE hardware. -
Yes-yes-yes!!! This is going to be fun! David S.
