  1. I definately had one...1:25 scale...long time ago...back in the 80's IIRC. Went looking for it, but couldn't find it. But it was really in my place at one time.
  2. Looks very cool slammed down! Is that the Revell kit?
  3. Really like C cabs, stake trucks and hot rods, so this works for me! I also like seeing models from years ago that I likely never saw before. As usual, thanks Tim.
  4. I agree! Nice looking vehicle.
  5. Well, this topic sent me on a search for older books on models that I know I have....somewhere...?? But I found a lot of cool stuff like group photo of the 1:1 car club members reunion taken years ago. Also tons of model magazines and all the paperwork from my entry at the 1991 G.S.L. Brought back some fine memories....and I WILL keep looking for those books!
  6. I am SO envious! You're actually living my dream! Good on you Rich! Your descriptive summary of the old days and the JOY is something I can really relate to. I found myself grinning as I was reading your entry. Really nice to hear such a great story, and for the perfect guy that deserves it! Have fun!
  7. I love the good old '34 pickup, so I will keep tuned to your progress! Any ideas on colour?
  8. Classy colour choices! Beautiful model.
  9. You have done a good job on that old 'bird. The blue and white go well together. Welcome back!
  10. I also use the weather strip on my small display cabinet. Sure keeps the dust out!
  11. Huge improvement on the last wiring job! But, yes, the red wires would stand out with more contrast if they were dark grey or black. Keep at it...every build leads to more experience and satisfactory results. You're definately on the right track!
  12. To those of us in the areas of the continent that are in the cold and snow, we will soon be in warmer weather, so plan your painting jobs!
  13. WOW!! Your build is amazing! The exhaust system is a work of art! Wasn't sure where this was going initially, but you're sure impressing me. Keep up the EXCELLENT work!
  14. You're right! You can never have enough custom '49 Mercs! Your's is real nice...great colour!
  15. All of the above. I've never built a model that didn't cause me grief near the end. I think most of us have been there.
  16. Very nice! Love white cars. Engine bay is great!
  17. John...you are a talented guy. Very realistic rendering for sure. Cheers!
  18. Getting old actually does have advantages.....finding stuff you've forgotten about...it IS like Christmas morning!! hahaha
  19. Commitment. This body reminds me of numerous kits that I've encountered in my modeling life. Some were from my buddy's basement others in bags and boxes at vendor tables. I see something that grabs me at the moment, and I want to bring it home and rescue it! A lot end up in the big box of cars and trucks that I call "the yard" ( as in junk yard ). But once in a while, I actually commit myself to rescuing the car, and they become some of my favourite builds. So I say go for it!!
  20. Just curious to ask if any of you have a plan in place for what happens to your buildups and collections when you pass away. Do you have family or friends that will become the custodians of your hobby?
  21. Beautiful model! Lovely paint and STANCE!! Great foil work...really nice front to back. Two thumbs up!
  22. Any chance of seeing the rear of the car Blair? Still going with the "TETNUS" plate?
  23. Think of your kit boxes as 3D wallpaper....at my place, it's called "Wayne's- caughting".
  24. A good looking import longroof...steering wheel location options?
  25. X2
