  1. Poor Sal. Takes a bullet in this movie and another one in The Godfather saga.
  2. I don't mind the snow. It tests your driving skills. It's ice and other drivers I don't like.
  3. I hate yellow jackets and now I'm sure your grand daughter does too. Been stung quite a few times in my life and they've all been yellow jackets. I can work in the yard with bumble bees or honey bees right near me and they just go about their business. Just hope she doesn't become afraid of all bees now.
  4. My brother-in-law wants to touch up some outdoor metal Christmas decorations. They're flat metal characters and he'd like to use bottled paint to do the touch up. I'd be able to help him with primer and spray paint but that's not what is needed here. Anyone have some experience with this? Thinking Hobby Lobby might have some type of paint that would work for him? Thanks for any help.
  5. Nice work! Your painting skills are what make these type of kits great looking when finished. I look forward to the others when you're done.
  6. That's the one. Sometime in the early 70's.
  7. LOL Now there's some guilty pleasure music playing at Farrell's. I used to work there and you better like those old style piano tunes.
  8. A popular hangout during my high school years. Old Keystone Cops and Laurel and Hardy films would be shown while the organ played. Rick Wakeman plays a church organ on "Going for the One" Yes album. A type of instrument I probably wouldn't bother listening to but hey, it's Rick Wakeman so I think it sounds great!
  9. I like to build something different every so often and that Star Trek kit looks like it would be fun. The figures are what makes the kit worth it.
  10. I've built the garage and tools kit and it's maybe 12 x 8 inches or so. Not big enough to put a vehicle in. Otherwise it's a very nice little diorama with 2 walls and 2 clear plastic sides. LOTS of tools and the biggest task is painting them all. Fun little kit to display an engine or car related parts and maybe put a couple of figures in there working on something.
  11. The local club recently had their swap meet after a couple year hiatus. I would've thought all clubs would be eager to get these things going again. What's different in your area?
  12. So much for hiding in the woods, eh? Cool looking deer.
  13. I use Outlook and the same thing happens to me. I've been told they have many different "sender" addresses and that's why it happens. I've tried other ways to block but it still happens. There are times that legitimate emails I get from some companies come in just fine all the time and then suddenly one goes straight to my junk. It's become amusing and I just have a habit of checking my junk folder before I empty it.
  14. A nice build! Thing's box.....LOL
  15. Yes, that's a good one. Fun to watch old shows like the Honeymooners and many others from that era and realize they would never get on the air now with the suggested violent content. Anyone with half a brain can see he really loves his wife on how the show ends every time and he would never really harm her. Part of the fun with his character.
  16. Nice!
  17. I've been watching this one and I'm right there with NYLIBUD. Not anything familiar to me except the actress name.
  18. Congratulations! Glad to hear everything is fine and hope you get to bring him home soon.
  19. After the worst customer experience we've had with Lowe's it was so nice to do business with Home Depot. We ordered a stove from them (after Lowe's cancelled our order saying this stove doesn't exist) and they said it would be delivered today. They called yesterday to give us a time and the driver called today about an hour into that time and said he'd be here in 20 minutes. 2 friendly, efficient guys installed the stove and took away the old one without any issues. I'm very pleased.
  20. We got Vinny from a local shelter. Poor guy was caught as a stray in Texas and shipped up here and then landed in 3 foster homes. The last one was the best and she brought him to us a few days ago. A Terrier mix about 1 1/2 years old. He's pretty skittish about things but coming along better than we could hope for. Never going to replace my recent loss but our remaining dog seems to like him and the process of training and providing a good home will keep us busy.
  21. I like the "rain" picture. I sometimes tell the wife after washing both cars that I just caused it to rain now.
  22. Joe, very much the same as you. I'm up early every day so I spend an hour or 2 at my workbench in the garage. Can't do much more than that and am always amazed at these guys that spend hours and hours building models. Some days I go back out in the afternoon to do some spray painting.
  23. That's a lot of models and a lot of nice work done on them. Thanks for sharing your story and pics.
  24. Your weathering is amazing! Really enjoyed looking at this model. Well done!
