Jaguar XJR8-LM (Hasegawa)

Great cars and great looking models depicting them. -
Jacob, good to see another well done Road Warrior model.

Yes I'm retired and the above quote reminded me of when I retired because so many people asked if I golf or fish and my answer was "no" and they all wondered what am I gonna do? Model building is just one of the things that keep me busy along with many other things but they were all at a loss.

Nice job on this model. Eric Bana (actor) had one of these a while back and made a movie about his car. Can't remember the name.

1940 Ford parts box jalopy
TonyK replied to Karl LaFong's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
I like it and I'll bet you had fun building it. Thanks for showing us and the detailed work you did. -
And while they were on tour. Bummer. I like his influences of drummers as it says a lot about his character in my opinion.

Very nice! One of my favorite cars and you made it look so nice.

Those gas cans are actually a green color but show up blue in the pictures. Strange. I picked the color because I liked how it looked. Nothing more. Wondering why this model got moved from the "sci-fi" section to this one. Doesn't matter but maybe I shouldn't consider the Road Warrior movie as sci-fi?

Thank you Jesse. That's a bad looking kit but maybe Atlantis will add a little improvement.

Aoshima kit of one of my favorite movies. Lots of interior parts included and added some of my own. Can't see inside but I know they're in there and enjoyed (mostly) detailing the interior and weathering the model.

The reissued 1963 Nova painted with Tamiya TS-58 pearl light blue. Wanted to do a simple kit and that's exactly what this is. Added some boxes and vacuum cleaner accessories inside which you can't see but I had fun doing it.

Been looking forward to the Jungle Jim Camaro but know nothing about it. Reissue of what past kit? If it is, how good was it? Can't tell with a picture of the real car. Thanks for any info since I wasn't able to find much on the Internet.

Suggestions for New or Returning Modelers
TonyK replied to Ouch1's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
All true and sometimes I have been lucky enough to look in my closet and see I do have the particular model the article refers to and take advantage of the builders step by step instructions. Along the lines of this subject I am glad I bought kits in the past and they have sat in my closet for years but haven't been seen since. -
Welcome and I look forward to seeing your F1 builds.

Suggestions for New or Returning Modelers
TonyK replied to Ouch1's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
Model magazines have had an entire article about a kit or two used for a project yet they aren't readily available anymore. Frustrating. The latest problem I've seen is a modeler letting us know they used Model Master paint. We might have some of that in our stash (I do) but sadly it is no more. -
The Push for Permanent "Daylight Saving" Time
TonyK replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Been a fan of doing away with this stupid clock changing for a long time but wanted "Standard Time" to be the permanent one. Always have said just leave it alone and eventually it will be daylight plenty. -

Your finished model looks very good. And yes, these kits weren't very good but glad we got them anyway. -
Wow, that shop is excellent!

Looking real good so far and it appears you're having fun with it.

ICM models and the Ukraine.
TonyK replied to Racephoto1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Have ordered the Masterbox figures direct from Ukraine before and always got a nice note included and I believe a couple of goofy extras thrown in. Makes you feel a little personal connection with these people.
