Looking real good so far and it appears you're having fun with it.

ICM models and the Ukraine.

Have ordered the Masterbox figures direct from Ukraine before and always got a nice note included and I believe a couple of goofy extras thrown in. Makes you feel a little personal connection with these people. -
Suggestions for New or Returning Modelers
TonyK replied to Ouch1's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
I always point out a few things when I post pictures of my models such as the brand and color of paint and aftermarket parts. I know I appreciate other modelers that do this because there are times I want to use the same color paint they used or the aftermarket part they used prompts me to possibly go to the website and purchase it. It helps all of us in the hobby. -
Good looking strawberries! I remember way back when I picked berries in the summer it was a proud moment when a flat of these paid you $1.

Yes, great movie. Especially in the theatre.

Very good looking model. I'm in the middle of building one and heard about the fit issues so expecting some before I'm done. Your finished model helps others know it can turn out nice.

I had a TCR set. Thought it was great fun.

Alexis has described the kit well. Built some of these in the past because I really like the subject but they are a bit primitive. Hopefully they will have some decent tires included and NOT 2 piece ones.

That is a good looking van. The decals are just right and your interior painting adds a lot to the model.

Nice looking model and some great detail added. This model will have special meaning in your collection.

A lot more involved than the old days when you lit them and ran.

Similar to contacting the IRS......or I should say NOT contacting them.

Got mine yesterday and might've been less of a wait than before. Lots of good reading but I always want more model reviews.

Realized I had some old Mooneyes dragster parts lying around and started to piece together other parts I found and made this dragster. Nothing special but had some fun gathering the engine parts, wheels and tires and other things.

Used the '34 Slammer model with a Big Donkey Resin Falcon body and hood. Nothing special done to the model except a scratch made rear bar and some extensions on the headers.

The weathering and model build look great. Those ruined decals are painful to look at. Glad you and Indycals were able to finish this. -
Always takes a while to get here. Seems to be distributed in the east and works its way toward the west.

Excellent work! Love these type of racing cars. -
Always enjoy looking at a BMW on the road and my favorite is probably the 2002. The comment on turn signals is funny as I've noticed that too and say to the wife "For such a nice expensive car you'd think the turn signals would at least work".

Cool. Bring on the racing cars!

Write a review of an album that changed your life.
TonyK replied to David G.'s topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I've read through this and thought about my situation and thought about it some more and finally decided to contribute. Yes has been my favorite band since way back and Genesis is right there too. The story is that I had a job in high school and a fellow worker found out I was a huge Yes fan and suggested I listen to Genesis but I hadn't even heard of them. Went to the store to look at albums and the cover of Genesis Live captured my interest. First time I bought an album without ever hearing a song. Took it home and I'd say the first note of "Watcher of the Skies" hooked me. I guess it changed my life because I started buying the albums previously released before this one and bought every one since. The Duke album was special to me as the theme of it connected to my own life then as I was going through a divorce and I could relate to it so much. Yes and Genesis have ties to each other with band members playing together through the years and that added to more enjoyment of the music. I would buy the solo albums as well as the spinoff bands that came about. I've always liked this type of orchestrated rock as it never gets old for me. The early albums are as fresh today as they were back then. -
Well done and good for you. I'm building this model right now because I like the look of it. I just keep reminding myself that the kit is what it is and try to enjoy it for that. Sounds like you had the same attitude. Thanks for sharing.
