  1. I am pleased that I can still get up every day at 4 AM or so and drink my coffee and build models. I believe the problem solving and reasoning things out while building keeps the old mind fresh and functioning well.
  2. I witness this all the time but reading it somehow makes it worse even though I know it's there. The way we grew up formed a better brain to cope with the world around us. We did things. We were outside learning about dirt, cement, plants, nature, cars, traffic, weather, etc. Y'know, things that could hurt you or please you, smells that are good or bad. I have a college educated sister-in-law that has her cell phone within arms reach at all times. She'll pick it up every so often even if it hasn't made a sound. She's 63 years old. Just seeing people's actions in a store show they aren't trained how to do things in a logical way. While watching sports on tv these days I like to see how many people are looking at their cell phones instead of watching the game. Sad what we've become. Hope this didn't seem like an old guy rant but more of an observation linked to the above subject.
  3. Thank you. It sure does look like it but darned if I can find anything that comes close to it for a model.
  4. I enjoyed her on ALF.
  5. I don't know what brand of wheel this is. Can anyone help? It was on a 1977 Celica so assume it was probably about a 14 inch wheel. Once I know what kind of wheel it is then I need to start searching where I might find them for a model. Thanks for the help.
  6. That is very nice and sharp! Great looking color.
  7. One of my favorites! I'd start to laugh as soon as I saw his face. He did a few funny impressions and one of the best was of Andrew "Dice" Clay who I also like.
  8. Yes, no hurry to get them but have ordered this way in the past and works well for me. No hobby shops around here so do my model shopping online but not sure if and when they will be available. Supposedly only 5000 of each being made?
  9. Snow I don't mind and we got a couple of inches yesterday (April?). I HATE wind! Hopefully your forecasters are a bit off on the figures.
  10. Not a club member and don't do Facebook but was able to order a couple of the new models from their site so guess I'll get them when they're ready to ship.

Excellent! Enjoyed looking at all the details.
  12. That dog looks like he wants to play!
  13. Reminding me of Burgess Meredith in Grumpy Old Men. Plate of bacon, plate of bacon and usually drinks his dinner. LOL
  14. And you're still with us today? ?
  15. FSM had a chance to keep me as a subscriber since I was forced to get them after Scale Auto but they blew it. I didn't mind reading about other type models but expected some cars to be included and they failed big time. Model Car Magazine has come through very very good lately.
  16. Excellent! A great looking scene.
  17. I agree with everything everyone has said! And yes, one of the best looking F1 cars ever.
  18. LOL Your daily driver. We can all dream. Great looking model and I especially like the engine area detail and nice carbon fiber decal work.
  19. A little model drivers helmet that always comes in 2 pieces so you have to sand it down after its glued together. This morning I put a stick in it and hand paint it then pop it in a vice to hold until dry. Walked out later and find the whole thing lying on the garage floor broke in half. No idea how it fell out the vice.
  20. Great looking model! Always fun to hear some personal history on it too.
  21. You picked a unique car and did a very nice job on it. As an AJ Foyt fan I enjoyed your model and history lesson.
  22. I mostly use Tamiya Smoke as it is very subtle. Tamiya Panel Line works well but is much darker.
  23. I really enjoy looking at these dioramas. Don't know if you like painting figures but I think a couple of them would complete these scenes even more. Thanks for sharing.
  24. I'd almost be more hopeful about the eating than peeing but I understand he needs to do it all.
  25. Oregon continues to be "above average" on gas prices and it keeps going up a couple of cents the last 2 weeks. <sigh>
