Oh yeah, saw Blue Oyster Cult back when and they know how to rock! Do they still all grab a guitar and play without any drums? Seem to remember 6 of them across the stage. Saw them with Pat Travers. A girl sitting next to us snuck in a bota bag with booze in it and told us to get a Coke and she'd share. Had it nestled in her bra. Fun times.

Deburring metal models

Ace is right. I've used files and sandpaper with good results but haven't used the "wet" method. A good cleaning afterwards and some good primer will get you to the painting part. -
Stopped by the Bottle Drop recycling place today to log into my account and get my money. Account says "0". Not possible as I dropped off a bag about a month ago. Guessing someone didn't scan the tag so I'm screwed. What can you do?

Thanks for sharing a different subject. Looks like you did a real nice job on this and I applaud you for sticking with it when it might not have been a pleasure to build. -
Hard to pick one but went to several Yes concerts and they were all great. But one stands out because many friends of mine had never seen them and they all agreed to go with me the next time they were here and they all said it was the greatest concert they had been to. This was in the 70's. That made me feel pretty good that they were not disappointed.

You're killing me "afx". Looks like we have the same Genesis catalog with the albums and CD box set.

I had this double kit a long time ago but sold it at a swap meet because I just didn't like the body styles but you sure made this one look good. Very sharp build. I like it!

What did you learn to drive in?
TonyK replied to slusher's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
'68 Chevy Impala and '68 Chevy Nova. Took the test in the Nova because that was my Mom's car and my Dad was at work in the Impala. The DMV was in a town with some one way streets so that could be tricky if you weren't paying attention. -

So enjoyable to look at your nice models and photography skills. I think the black background is best but nothing wrong with the grey either. I built this kit a long time ago and recall it being trouble free. Hasegawa are usually very good kits. -
I believe my 8-track recorder was from Radio Shack also. Geez, I made a lot of tapes. If I can expand my favorite live album list it would be "Genesis Live". Way back when a guy I worked with found out I liked Yes so he suggested I would want to listen to Genesis so I bought this album without ever hearing anything from them and instantly was hooked. This was the Peter Gabriel era. I'm sure many of us own Deep Purple Made in Japan and Peter Frampton and .......

Interesting! Saw the subject and knew this was an easy answer for me and you have the same one. Yessongs is it! Have 2 sets of the albums because I wore out the first set. Then came cassettes and the cd.

And we keep hearing how they're losing money. I know, that's not the only reason why but driving a package from state to state can't possibly save any money. My favorite that's gonna be hard to beat is the package that was sent from Pennsylvania and it ended up in Guam before coming here.

Very nice work! I've had the Bruno Spengler BMW on the bench for a couple of years as these kits are very detailed and time consuming. As you pointed out, so much is hidden once you've put everything together. We can enjoy your work from the photos though. -
I'd be all over that Dodge pickup and build the telephone service rig along with the nostalgic booth.

Oh yeah! Loved this car and you did a great job on it. Thanks for bringing back the memory.

Guess I just learned a little something about nuns. As far as the masks go....is it mandatory in your area? I know some places it isn't but here in Oregon we have to wear them in any indoor facility.

Always like seeing someone take a simple kit and making it so much better. Really like this.

Times like that are when you wish you could legally go all "Road Warrior" on them.

I built this kit way back when a Tamiya model was still better than anyone else. I can see the comparison today would be different. I'm sure you'll still enjoy building it. I look forward to seeing the finished model. -
Tough situation but Kyle has some good advice (except I don't like E collars). My experience with 2 dogs and the dogs my brother and sister-in-law have had shows that constant leadership are the key. I'm always telling my dogs what to do and they listen. I think it's the same concept with children as they want guidance and structure. A schedule and consistent training will hopefully do the trick. Stern voice commands when the dog does something wrong should work and lots of praise for good behavior. I still give praise for simple things like the dogs taking care of business before we turn in for the night. It is too bad about the early removal from the litter but I'm guessing the new owner can still make it work. There's got to be some help on the Internet too.

Very good looking model! Your flared fenders look good and so does the stance. Nice job! -
Excellent job on this!
