  1. Not a big deal but I would toss a message to everyone that they may not have anything now but to be sure to tune in next month. Keeps us wringing our hands in antipicatation.
  2. Excellent! I remember this car back in the day. Thanks for reminding me of the fond memories.
  3. I seem to remember a review of the Grumpy's Vega and they said it was wrong in so many ways. I built the USA-1 Vega many many years ago but don't know if it was just as wrong as the Grumpy one. I do recall enjoying the kit though.
  4. Don't feel bad. Motorsport magazine out of England arrives 1-2 months later than it used to.
  5. Very fun to look at. The guy with his shirt off appears to want the attention drawn to him. Great job on this!
  6. That is a great looking model! The paint scheme had to be a real pain but it's perfect. Really great to look at this!
  7. Sometimes just knowing a model is coming is good enough for me. Exact dates are never right but eventually it will be here and that's what I look forward to. Once you have it the anticipation is over.
  8. I do my model and supply shopping online because there are no real hobby shops near me. I wait until there are a few models I really want and add any paints I need to my order and I'm good for awhile. When a Hobby Lobby opened a few years ago just a mile away I was able to take advantage of their 40% off coupon for paint whenever I needed it and rarely bought a model. Now that they did away with that convenient coupon I rarely go there except for the other day when I realized I was out of a certain color paint.
  9. I think it's funny when Bad Santa is on one of the regular channels and they have to cut so much out of the movie. No point in showing it. btw, not a movie but I have to watch my Red Green Christmas show every year.
  10. I needed a can of paint so went there yesterday and the cashier was nice enough to check to see if it might be on sale. I knew it wasn't but good for her. Oh, and the usual selection of the same old models.
  11. Huge fan of Jim Carrey and the Grinch movie. Of course Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, and a couple other favorites are Fred Claus and Four Christmases. My wife likes the old classics like Miracle on 34th Street, It's a Wonderful Life and those Bing Crosby ones but they don't do much for me.
  12. Very nice. Was a big fan of her. You did good.
  13. I'm buying one!
  14. Really like the look of this! The stance, just raced look, and the dirty tire lettering is great.
  15. That's a good looking model and yes, those headers look good in flat black.
  16. I thought that might be the case. Thanks for the picture showing no parachute. Well, thanks for the other picture too. LOL
  17. Used to be the norm but nowadays they might chase you down and shoot you.
  18. While building this kit I just noticed there is no parachute included. Odd omission but I can grab one from my parts bin.
  19. The Henry J is really the only one I've been looking forward to. The Salt Shaker is another one but that's all I planned to buy for awhile. Hoped to be working on the Henry J this winter. We'll see.
  20. Since my Scale Auto subscription morphed into the FSM magazine I hoped I could adjust but it's not happening. I enjoy looking at any modeling even though I build cars but I can't justify renewing at the price they want for the content they offer. Add in the problems I kept having trying to access their site with no help from them and I have to say goodbye.
  21. Good for you. The dogs seem relaxed.
  22. That looks great! Way better than the model box presents the kit. Would've never guessed the finished model could look this good but you did it. Thanks for showing your beautiful modeling skills.
  23. There's a step by step building guide on that McLaren in the latest Model Car magazine. Seems the model was fairly easy to paint and build the way Tamiya designed it. I've felt the same as you about certain kits figuring my building skills aren't worthy of the kit.
  24. I watched some of this about a year ago and was highly entertained. It's goofy but fun and I like the effort to create a "realistic" scene.
  25. Good job on this. As I recall US Airfix models aren't that great but this one sure turned out nice.
