Gonna back up peteski's experience with the 2 online companies he mentioned as I have had good service from them also. I get frustrated every year watching Dakar as there are many vehicles I'd like to build; especially a couple of those trucks.

Looking at the weather report for the Eastern states I saw the wind prediction. I have stated in the "irked" section how much I hate wind and I feel bad for all those having to deal with this. It's one thing to have snow and possibly ice but the wind just adds another hazard to the whole situation.

Perfect! Tamiya kits are the best and your skills matched the kit. I like the black background with the reflection as it highlights your great photography.

That '67 Chevy is nice. Bet it sounds as good as it looks.

There was some mentioned on a couple of other boards. The Unsers were a favorite family of racers for me and both Bobby and Al Sr. left us last year.

I use Tamiya TS spray paint all the time but wondered about the AS type spray. It describes them to be for airplanes with specific colors so obviously they work on plastic but don't know if they're flat, gloss, etc. Looking for a very light blue for the 1966 Ford GT and I think the AS-5 might be a good match.

I knew you were being funny. Maybe it's because we're in the same state. hehe Someone mentioned oatmeal stout earlier and I have had a couple brands of those and loved them. Once had one for my lunch with some excellent cheese I believe from the UK as it had the Union Jack on the label. Very crumbly though.

Thanks for the tips. Don't believe I've built a 1/16th funny car since the Revellution. I always test fit everything on models except I try not to on Tamiya kits because they're flawless. LOL I'll look into the aftermarket tubes and wires as past experience with supplied ones are usually some kind of cheap hard vinyl-like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.

Your finished model looks great. The body and decals look good too as I don't see any imperfections. I have this model and now you've scared me with your experience building it.

Thought of that. Normally I go on Tuesday but have been out of stuff then too. Might not help that I go first thing in the morning and I'm usually the only customer while there are plenty of people refilling stock. I'm an early riser and don't like people so that works for me and the employees always seem to be friendly so that's nice. But when there's not a single particular item all the way to the back, I think they just don't have it.

Shortage of food at the grocery store. We're dealing with a lot of things lately but would hope I can at least go to the store and get the food I need. Every week I come home without some things on my list. Last week it was almond milk for the wife and a certain brand of coffee. Today there was no milk. Noticed the frozen pizza section was near empty. Didn't matter to me but also noticed Hot Pockets were gone. What up with that? Had to search a bit to find some hot dog buns. Sections of the cereal aisle are empty. There are reasons I'm sure but as a lowly peasant it's frustrating week after week to go through this.
