That reminds me of The Bomber restaurant (B-17 sat above the gas station pumps) where some veterans would gather for breakfast and it was fun sitting at the table near them to hear war stories or just random stories of that time. You'd hear them refer to the enemy with names not accepted these days but I get it. That's how they referred to them during those times and they continue to do so. Not right but I get it. My first apartment was on the 2nd floor and I had to pass by the old guy living below. Big window right there at the parking lot so he could see me come home. He lived alone and I would be a nice guy sometimes when he'd invite me in and tell stories about the railroad as he was now retired. They were actually interesting.

Not into choppers very much but this looks really cool! The choice of paint would be right at home on a real one and I like your engine detail. Glad I clicked on this.

Excellent diorama and I always like seeing a Trabant.

Placed an order with Hobby Search in Japan at the beginning of August. Never ordered anything from them before but reviews were good. I expected a long wait time and sure enough the tracking showed it left Japan right away and then nothing until October 20th when it arrived at Customs in New Jersey. October 25th the mailman shows up at my door with the package and wants a signature. Amazing service from Customs and USPS.

Really like what you've done here. I rarely suggest anything on someone's model but I think there should be a hubcap missing. Would expect that after all that truck has been through. Just for some added fun. -
Daughter-in-law became a school bus driver last year since they were offering good pay, free training, signing bonus, health coverage, 401K, etc. She doesn't take any "stuff" from the kids and a couple of times a parent complained about something but everything is monitered with cameras so the proof backed her up that the kid was disobeying rules. She loves the job and is always taking on extra duties for overtime pay. I always tell her I don't know how she does it with the kids and the crappy drivers out there but she's fine with it.

My wife and I go to Walgreens every year for our flu shot and did it within the last month. Noticed they were busier than usual with people getting the shot which is good so we had to wait longer than usual. The employees seemed to be happy enough but they're always VERY busy.

Oh, that's very nice! Your engine looks great and your detail along the doors and trunk are very sharp. Nice work!

That brown looks good to me and the whole car looks great. Nice job. -
Sad situation. The wife was driving home the other night on a dark road and saw a deer just ahead trying to slink off into the brush with its back legs not working. Said it ruined her night. Obviously had just been hit.

Very nice! I built the dark grey version so I like seeing what the white version looks like. Can't go wrong with a Tamiya kit. Thanks for showing us your great work. -
Great to see your nice work. Like many others I tried to build this kit when I was younger and tossed it in the garbage.

Looks like the guys running the magazine are on a roll!

You did a real nice job on this. Your pictures show the nice detail. The body was warped a bit on mine but I didn't notice until it was too late so tried to put it together the best I could.

My mom would get mad when I'd have the bedroom door shut while building models because of the glue fumes. Could have it shut any other time but not then and this was in the 60's when model glue had nasty fumes.

Dam! Happy to read a good recovery so far.

Great model! Really like your wheels and tires. -
Great diorama! You captured the scene perfectly. Take some pictures outdoors with a proper background and you'll fool a lot of people thinking its real.

2 excellent looking models. Glad the decals worked out for you as that looks like it could've been frustrating if they didn't. -
How do they get away with not accepting outgoing mail?! Oh wait, they do whatever they want. I do most bill paying online but there are a couple of outfits I deal with where I send a check because they want to charge you $2-$3 if you use a credit card and a check is the only other way. A stamp is much cheaper. We also have the cluster box but can use the outgoing mail slot.

You have every right to rant and several of us have voiced our problems on this board as well. You say Amazon is who you'll deal with and I don't understand how they keep sending stuff in a timely manner. And they use USPS as well and we've got things in a few days so how is that? FedEx is the worst for me and I've had my problems with USPS like the time a package went to Guam! UPS seems to do well for me. The common excuse now for everything is "due to Covid". FedEx keeps claiming they don't have enough people to do the jobs. Where did they go? Can we not hire more? UPS seem to be doing alright....at least for me.

You did a real nice job especially on the white lettering work on the tires.
