  1. I'd have to think awhile to tell you the last new model kit I bought, prolly months ago. I do continue to buy rarities off eBay, and promising glue bombs for rescue at the local toy show. Just remembered what my last new kits were: Grumpy't Toy Vega, and full-bumper '70 Camaro. Had to order them from Model Roundup because they haven't shown up locally. Can't remember the last kit I bought at Hobby Lobby. I already have "enough" of everything they stock.
  2. Run a search here for JoHan and you will find several long threads discussing this very topic. Happy hunting.
  3. Very, VERY nice! I like this a lot! Well done and model on!
  4. "Wicked Game" as you've never heard it before. A very haunting version:
  5. Years later, I wondered why he didn't go into a drugstore and pick up a pair of generic readers. And Rod Serling told a variant of this very story (much darker) in the very first episode of Night Gallery in the '70s.
  6. Eventually everyone came back, and then he was The Penguin!
  7. The one in my link. If your Walmart doesn't have it, you can order it through the website for pickup at your local store.
  8. I actually had a "wall of kits" collapse and fall on me last year. If it had been bricks or cinderblocks, I'd have been dead!
  9. Hi, I'm Snake and I'm powerless over styrene.....
  10. Sweet, and great color! 25 years? If you used any Testor Chrome Silver on it, it should be dry any time now.
  11. When did you ever see a bus built by Tesla before? It's a new world, my friend.
  12. I'll bet it has plenty of cup holders, but not one ashtray.
  13. That Greenlight TA looks better than the JADA one and I'm sure the size is closer, too. I don't need a diecast TA of this era as I built a nice model from the Monogram 1/24 kit some years ago.
  14. You've got a number of good possible fixes here. And here's another one: Sand the damage smooth, mask off the roof and give it a black "vinyl" top. I just had a similar problem with a built 4-4-2 I was trying to rescue. Big glue booger on the roof that had to be sanded off. I put a good deal of effort into trying to match the otherwise decent paint, but ultimately was unable to do so, so I ended up vinyl-topping the thing.
  15. No, two different kits.
  16. Thanks for the review. I saw that's available but didn't think too much about it. I'll give it a try on your recommendation! ETA: Found it on FXNow. Started it. Some good driving action in the first few minutes!
  17. Very, VERY nice (except for the red spider) and you did an EXCELLENT job taking off the side chrome trim. You're inspiring me to try doing it to mine. VERY well done and model on!
  18. Upgrade: Sort of a futuristic Death Wish with nods to Six Million Dollar Man, Knight Rider, and 2001. Two cool cars, a Bandit-era Trans Am and a '70 Challenger. One so-so car chase. Not the very best movie I've ever seen, but not horrible; not a bad way to kill an hour and a half if you can get it for free (I forget if I saw it on Netflix or FXNow). At least it keeps the story moving along.
  19. I'd decant some of that Duplicolor, "spot in" a touchup with a small brush, and display the model with that side facing the wall.
  20. Outstanding build, especially for box-stock! Well done and model on!
  21. Saw it years ago. Don't remember much about it but the style, but I don't have any lasting negative impressions so if it shows up on a format I have access to, I'll watch it again on your recommendation. For some reason I kind of have it "mentally filed" with the Val Kilmer movie Salton Sea, which was pretty good. Would like to see that one again, too.
  22. Great models and an even better story to go with them. Well done and model on!
  23. I believe that Janis Joplin was one of those people for whom Death was a good career move. Many, many times over the years on the Voice/Idol type shows, a judge has said "You remind me of Janis Joplin." I've heard it in them too, but in every case, they sounded much better than Janis Joplin. And were better looking, too.
