  1. Yup. I have a couple of '67 roadsters (my favorite). At least one of these will get built with the "panel truck" top.
  2. Don't sweat it. It was good to have you on board for Round 3. Maybe you'll find something else that would apply on down the road sometime. Good luck with your projects!
  3. What are you paying for the bottles at Michaels? (I looked online and they're not listed.)
  4. Indeed. In fact, I now think of ALL JoHan kits as "classics."
  5. I seem to have developed a real fondness for original AMT '63-'67 Corvettes. I've now accumulated somewhere around 30, at least one of each body style and each box, in all conditions from barely-rebuildable glue bombs to mint unbuilt. I've only actually restored about 3 so far (two '63s and a '67), but I have at least four more on the bench as we speak.

  7. Very nice! Probably Japan's best all-around fighter. Lucky for us they didn't build or operate more of them.
  8. Very cool! If you airbrush, try Model Master Gunship Gray for that medium-dark gray.

Very clean, very nice! Well done and model on!
  10. Very Most Way Excellent! GOTTER DONE! I've noted you as SECOND COMPLETION for the next update of The List. Are you going to try to finish another one by the deadline?
  11. No. Details? New body, or will they try to slide by with the '67 fastback body?
  12. It's red-orange, and it's absolutely correct for all big blocks (from 1965) and many small blocks of the late '60s. The Tonawanda-built 350 in my '69 Camaro SS was that color, for example. I know the '70 LT1s were that color. If you want the pure orange of the late '50s-early '60s small blocks, Testor little bottle orange is a near perfect match for that. Yes, I know that's an enamel, but that's the color you're looking for. (I've been trying to find out for years when the Chevy Engine Red started to appear on small blocks, and/or which ones, with no success.)
  13. HBO? I blame dragons. Looks like most the stuff lost was '80s stuff, so it could have been worse.
  14. I'd love to buy the 1/32 dragsters, and maybe even the F1 cars if they were available again. Problem is, these wouldn't be 50c or 99c models anymore, they'd have to ask at least $10 for them, and probably more like $15. At that price point, how many of us would buy them?
  15. Those aren't Torq-Thrusts, but the principle still seems to apply.
  16. Testor makes Chevy Engine Red in an acrylic, and it's pretty good stuff.
  17. I was under the impression that the Testor Judge was just an unassembled Lincoln Mint, but I could be mistaken about that.
  18. No. You either have to fix those yourself, or get the Revell Snapper kit and use the body shell from that.
  19. Yes, this is exactly what I've always assumed. That's why I surprised to learn that the '64 Ford Craftsman and full kit are two different bodies.
  20. Tom, when are you going to jump into one of our BOYD builds? You still have about 7 weeks to get in on this round. I KNOW you have a Shelf of Doom somewhere! C'mon, GIT SOMETHING DONE!
  21. I should have bought one of those when Ollie's was blowing them out at $10. But I figured I already had a Carousel Red '69 Judge diecast. What are you going to do for those exposed headlights? I'd like to get a set to use for a project I have in mind.
  22. F-86A: F-5A: The Matchbox airplanes are NOT for rivet-counters, but they are hella fun to build and display!
