  1. it may appear that way but there are a lot of american military bases in europe and you guys like your own cars and the rest are owned by drug dealers and gangsters. we tend not to buy them as they just dont fit in many of our towns and we dont need anything that size
  2. the cars sell better than truck/suv international. it makes more sense to cater for the bigger target market.
  3. you have 2 options. the old amt and monogram. I prefer the monogram kit as theres a couple of la salle grilles available from replicas and miniatures of maryland and a few other custom parts. I think the fit of both isn't up to modern standards but both can build up nice. The downside to the monogram is all the body moldings are too flat, especially the rear end around the trunk. If you can find one of the monogram 36s in the flat box it has a load of options. The downside to the amt is the front end can be a chore to line up correctly and can be pretty clearly seen in some builds where the body line goes wonky from the firewall forward
  4. the only way I'll do a finish build is to emmigrate to finland
  5. impossible acts involving poseable cats can lead to overgrown rats
  6. i think it might be the roadster version of this one https://www.automotive-auctions.nl/en/offer/48429-luxury-sports-and-classic-cars-in-boxmeer/chevrolet-corvette-c4-geiger-57-v8-1992
  7. try coast airbrush in usa for smaller quantities of hok paints. in the uk its jawell paints for hok spray cans and smaller quantities
  8. I'm sure the sedan molded in brown with the small pic of buttera on the box top had seperate doors. I sold mine 6 months back or i could check. I know the one in the 3 kit set with the model a and 34 was molded shut
  9. Spent many hours this week arguing with a government department that i cant give them the date of a letter i didn't get from them. They wont deal with the issue until i give them the date on the letter i never got, even though they have all the letters sitting on the screen in front of them. Long story short, its costing me 150 quid a month to pay them for something they cant even tell me what it is, and their own debt agancy has said its a mistake but without the date on the letter they never sent i cant get it fixed. Its like training a cat to juggle knives,
  10. Life hack for body builders;- dont waste time and money going to a gym, just do really badly in a test. remember, mistakes make you stronger
  11. I'll be getting one. I hope it is the non team audi version. From the pics its looks good
  12. you can find them in industry stores too. they use them to display fancy cakes/jewellery in shop windows and come in various sizes. I think the smallest i've seen was 6inch across
  13. you dont seem to realise that many of the 3d print sellers use the same files you can buy on cults. thats a one time sale and not many business can survive on one sale. also the prices on cults mean nothing to the quality of the part. I've bought expensive files to find they were garbage but at the same time i have some great files that were free. think of the files like resin aftermarket, some resin kits are just expensive trash while some cheap resins are great. also you'll probably find those sellers of prints are paying a commission on sales to the designer too, i know i do it that way because i dont have the skills to do the 3d drawing but i can print out those files. How do i keep selling my prints if i dont pay the designer a commission? they will quit designing and how is anybody supposed to print without files? I've even paid commission on free files if i sell them because i want people to design stuff so i can keep making parts to sell. You're correct though, a parts file shouldn't cost the same as the part, they should cost a lot more than they do now
  14. the r100 is available in resin. i think its might have been the parts box in australia that has them as they were pretty popular over there
  15. theres an alternative to vacuum plating parts. find somewere that does mirrors and ask if they can silver the parts. its done like spraying but gives a much tougher finish. I know i can get it done in the uk so there has to be places in the usa that does it too. it can be seen on a recent jaguar lights on the wheeler dealers show
  16. I think i need more practice at table tennis. I keep breaking my bat on the legs
  17. getting a new resin feed from anycubic. the one on it has failed and just 3 emails has a new one on the way to me. great service from anycubic
  18. hobby design for engines , body kits, seats, engine parts and wheels eighteen81 for wheels, seats and spoilers aoshima and fujimi have fairly extensive aftermarket wheels and theres loads of 3d print engines if you look a tx3dcustoms and iceman collections
  19. in some parts of the world lacquer is used to refer to the clear coat. I know when i worked in the body shop lacquer was just clear coat
  20. there one of these running around my area, the same guy has one of the smart roadster things too and its massive compared to this.
  21. the glossy bits are wet resin from it going pop
  22. I'm finding the same. They want you to apply online and give them all the info they want but they dont have the common decency to say sorry not this time or drag it out so long that you are ready to give up. Or they have an over complicated application process thats almost impossible to follow correctly. But my main gripe is i have to prove I've applied for jobs but i cant do this without them writting back. Because they dont even write a 5 word email my income support while i'm unemployed is at risk every week. Give me the days of a cover letter and cv or application form back, all the tech has ruined finding a job now. And no face to face interviews when you do get interviewed. My hearing is bad so i cant do phone or video interviews as i just cant hear them over the hard drive spinning in the computer so this makes it just a bit more difficult. The last time i was looking for work the employer contacted me so i must have a good reputation for being a grafter
  23. this is why you dont have on street tractor pulling
