  1. I recieved my vw campers this morning. First impressions are good, the box is very weighty compared to the bus and van versions, and the parts are nicely molded. I dont have my camera with me but will post the contents on monday.
  2. I recieved my camper vans today. First impressions are good, crisp molding and the box has a good weight to it even before opening it. Unfortunatelly my camera isn't with me just now so I'll post pics sometime on monday. I am looking forward to starting it though
  3. When i was at school we still had a metalworking class. One of the tasks we had to complete to pass was to make a basic knife (not forged, just filled from scraps). Unfortunatelly the school rules changed and having a knife was now a suspendable offence but it was a required part of the class still. Some of us had put a lot of work into making them as christmas gifts for our parents to display but when we tried to take them home we all got them taken off us and the head teacher ordered them all to be destroyed. My dad went to the school and demanded they be returned to the students as it really was quite upsetting to have a punishment for completing our school work. I dont know what that headteacher was thinking, they still had to make knives the following year only with a 45mm blade instead of the 150mm we were making
  4. I was hoping its the 1/25 amt kit but I'll still get a couple for the us spec bumpers
  5. would the revell 37 sedan not work better to build a more stock version
  6. Thats pretty cool, I like the late 80s early 90s style of it
  7. Great kit, I've built one as a 35 and have another part done as a rusty one and 4 more unstarted. One word of caution, the rear brake rods are very fragile and their attachment to the sprue is pretty thick which makes removing them more work than normal, hence my rusty version.
  8. from the modeltruckin website; As a reminder for some of the ones not familiar with my decals, these are printed on clear waterslide paper. Simply cut and dip in warm water for a few moments til the decal loosens from the paper. These are not peel & stick. Decal setting solution is not necessary, but can be used. This can be picked up at any hobby shop or even at Hobby Lobby.
  9. Its the 1/24 kit(i hope,I never thought to check but its priced close to the other 1/24s) mine should be here tomorrow or sat so I'll be posting pics of the contents then
  10. Amazing detail!
  11. That would be kinda freaky if it is, lol
  12. Treated myself to a new to me laptop. I considered buying brand new but got a smoking hot deal on a factory reconditioned lenovo. Its much faster than my old one and has twice the storage. I think I'll keep my old one for taking to work with me as i have had it for near 10 years and it wont matter as much if it gets damaged
  13. Very nice, its looks like it could have been a limited edition from mitsubishi
  14. Wishing you and your wife well mate
  15. the van and pick up are in stock currently but the moke and traveller are waitng on stock https://motobitz.uk/kits--trans-kits1.html
  16. Not necessarily, there have been loads of advances in suspension since 1964 and many of the cars that look impossibly low ride much better than they look due to the advances. I've riden in cars with both air and coilovers that are much more comfortable than their appearance would suggest. Its really down to how much you spend on the suspension. The cheap set ups (just for looks) will ride like a radio flyer but a good set up wont.
  17. I'm not sure but i was disappointed when i opened it. All the other parts seem to ok
  18. I hope your corrado is in better shape than mine, the roof and hood on mine look like the mold wasn't put together right. The hood is a couple mm lower than the fenders and the roof is a couple mm too high between the rails
  19. hiroboy have wire mate, sometimes they have distributors too but i tend to get mine from australia (bnl modelworld) or brasil (mr model) as the exchange rates half the cost even with shipping.
  20. Nice looking t-bird mate. If you can spring for it the cheap booths on amazon work well at getting the fumes out for spraying indoors. I use mine in my front room and theres no fumes to bother anyone
  21. Isn't it better to wait and get something you want to actually read, than something rushed and hashed together like a school kids homework? I know which I would prefer
  22. I saw a conspiracy theory to describe 2020. It said that someone in the future has made time travel possible and they keep going back to try and fix 2020 but inadvertantly make it worse every time they fix something, hence murder hornets dissappearance. Its probably the most believable conspiracy theory I've seen about it
  23. has the orange/red one been lifted? there seems to be much more arch gap showing than the green one
