  1. Cool, it looks ready to play with e types
  2. If you need parts for the escort I have a partial kit. You're welcome to it if you want it
  3. maybe a dark wash over it would help, its not too far off
  4. well put, the owners of the companies sent the work overseas, lots of people blame china for job losses/quality failings but at the end of the day its the companies that put the work to china and made thousands of people unemployed, destroyed local manufacuring or just tried to avoid local enviromental laws. But yeah, lets blame china, when the truth is the reason so much is made in china now is greed. There's definately something wrong when a full time worker still needs help to buy food or pay rent while working min wage, while their company ceo is out buying a new boat/ferrari and avoiding tax. The company owners need to realise that higher wages lead to more spending which means more profits, so everbody wins.
  5. Nice clean work on the cab extention, she's gonna be a good looking truck
  6. The revell vw golf mk2. While its a decent kit the newer mk1 kits blow them out of the water. Most of the improvements I'd like to see are in the interior and suspension. For example the seat bases are just far too long, and the front suspension seems to be from something else as its too wide and the rear wheel wells have the interior tub sticking into them which makes lowering them a chore
  7. Walked 3 miles to the local car parts place for paint only to find it closed. I checked their website before I left and it said they were open until half 4. I dont mind the walk, but it was freezing with a heavy wind chill.
  8. That brings back memories, I still have one of the sqare steering wheels in my mums attic. When revell did a vote about 4 or 5 years ago on the german site the allegro came third after the bay window van so I have my fingers crossed we might see one in scale someday. I can see an unusaul gasser build from one
  9. Cool golf, I'd drive it
  10. Looks pretty good, I'll have to get one
  11. cactus modellers did theirs online last year but that was a judged show. as for somewhere to allow voting, that can be done on proboards forums but they need a photo host like flickr or similar. On the forum I admin we have votes every month so if you decide to use proboards I can happily help you setting up votes by sending you a guide on setting up votes.
  12. Just ordered an italeri mk2 escort rally car so I can use the bumpers on my cannonball build. Since they had it I also got the photo etch set as the one in my stash somehow got buckled so the grilles are near useless for the cannonball build but should work for a beater.
  13. it should but you might have to do it a few times before it learns. I use gmail and yahoo but others might work differently
  14. open one of them in your spam folder and you should get the option to mark them as not spam
  15. The gauzy stuff I have works for the molotowe, I used it on the fuel rail for my escort and its been handled loads since with no ill effects. Its self levelling too so you can put it on with abrush. I'll be trying the s02 later tonight and will update on it tomorrow
  16. This is the bestmodelcarparts bug conversion for the tamiya kit. So far I've only worked on the pan and now have working suspension front and rear, and a narrowed front axle. To acheive the working suspension I drilled out the suspension arms and then cut them off before reattaching them with pinsglued only where they go into the axle so the arms are tight enough to hold the stance but still adjustable. At the rear i did the same method but will be cutting the centre from the drive shafts and replacing it with some rubber band so the axles will be solid attached to the brakes and gued to the rubber bands inside the gearbox. This will give me the camber seen on low bugs but the rear wont have the same adjustment as the front.
  17. try these for protecting item you've used molotowe on. The gauzy stuff is good but I haven't tried the s-02 version yet. just be sure to leave the items a few days before coating
  18. Belkits do a metro 6r4, the reno 5 is available from heller or italeri. The pug 205 is available from tamiya, the porsche 959 rally version is available from hasegawa. I think there is also a for rs200 coming in the future. beemax/nunu do a lancia delta and audi quattro (new version of the audi coming soon). I'm not sure which of these have engines in the kits but the rear engine cars probably will have them. There's also a few resin kits but they dont usually have engines.
  19. I just use enamel thinners but maybe every 3 or 4 months (or when they are just too gunked up) I chuck my brushes in stripper and then wash them in soapy water
  20. How about using the chrome v as the bottom edge of the rear glass, then the handle could be part of the chrome and tie into any chrome from around the other glass
  21. If you know anyone using the patches to quit smking they come on sheets of reflective plastic. I've been saving mine to try on mirrors
  22. A little more done. I removed the previous support from the rear suspension and made something a little more like the 1/1. I've also added some rally type reinforcing to the sills and rear suspension mounts
  23. airfix/heller bobcat series porsche racer, 36 parts and 24 of them were the wheels and tyres
  24. atlantis are rereleasing the 56 caddy this year
