  1. Anyone up for a conversionjob? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-volvo-240-3/
  2. This is not really about the kit but here is some videos on the real BTCC cars and you can see why it was all so spectacular. The BTCC in the 90s was real racing This one is not so much Volvo but you can see how many different cars where in the championship back then. And all of them based on everyday cars. Lots of cool action to watch and take away our precious building time
  3. The complete gangbusters series had a lot of goodies. I only had the lincoln and the chrysler that was reissued somewhere around 2004 or so. Maybe it could be possible to do all the goodies from those kits in one "mafia" partspack. Yes, a wrecker body for pickup trucks. Don't need it to be a specific brand or anything even if that would be very cool. I have had ideas on modifying the wrecker body from the Revell GMC kit. Afterall, Italeri has used the same wrecker body in several truck kits for years, both US and European trucks have gotten it. So that toghether with a set of 1 ton rims and tires and it would be a go. Ofcourse, some would say that one would also need axles and springs for a heavierduty vehicle but the already got some trucks that would fit the bill perfectly. They did a Ram 3500 dually and a Chevy 3500 dually in the 90s. A complete set of interior accesories with luggage might sell that much. Afterall Fujimis kit has been reissued several times.
  4. And what about luggage, I got some suitecases out of the old gangbusters chrysler some years ago but what about some suitcases, dufflebags and such to put in the trunk or backseat of cars.
  5. Interiour accesories. Similar to what Fujimi has but better suited to US cars. Things like sunglasses, soda cans, car magazines, spare wheels and tool kit with a jack. Boxes for spareparts like brakepads, oilfilters, fanbelts, lightbulbs, sparkpulgs and wires and ofcourse oilcans. Sorry about the flood of replies, got a strange 404 error when I tried to post my full reply.
  6. Rowing boat and trailer. Gokart and tool kits, perfect for a pickup or van.
  7. Sugestions: Slide in bed camper for pickup trucks.
  8. I have tried to reply to this thread many times now but only get a 404 error.
  9. AMT 65 Lincoln Continental with phantom wagon roof option. https://www.autoworldstore.com/product_p/amt1081.htm
  10. Yes, you are normal Everyone I know that is in to modelling does this, start a project and get some done on it then get sidetracked by life in general and then when they get the time they will start another project. Sometimes projects are forgotten about and sometimes they just take a long time to finish. I guy on the Norwegian IPMS board has been builing on his 1:350 model of the Japanese warship Yamato since Sepember 2006 and the last update on the thread was in 2012 and he is still not done with it.
  11. Ofcourse, G-scale stuff. Thats it, why didn't I think of that To me that beartrap and trailer looks like it has been made from a sewage pipe or something like that on a simple trailerchassis. Did they make them up themself or did someone manufacture them? I think I would have a remote control of that opening but brave men have done more than just let a bear out of a trap before. to me the truck looks to be a 63 C10 based on the wraparound windshield, flat hood and the fender emblem. I guess I'm lucky that I got several of the AMT 60 kits aswell as the Revell 65 stepside and a resin 63 grille and emblems. A new modelproject is exactly what I need as I only have about 15 started projects and have only finished one model in the last four years....
  12. So I'm surfing around on the 67-72 chevy trucks forums and come across this massive Nostalgia thread. On page 13 I found this: And a few posts later, this: Here is a link to the thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=540610&page=13 Now this is a cool modeling idea!! But where to find a 1:25 bear?
  13. The Bandai kits seem to be very pricey at times. A friend of mine paid some 400$ or so for one of the 1:20 Mazda Rotary kits, I have forgotten wich one but he has collected all of the Mazdas they did.
  14. That looks really great and many times better than the boxart model with its white wall tires and chromed bumper. Great job on polishing the plastic.
  15. Thanks for the tip. I have been thinking of making a 58 out of it for some time
  16. I would love to see the Brat reissued, I got one but have way more than just one idea for building one. As a slight sidenote to this I would like to comment on the Baja. A friend of mine is a Subaru fan and he learned about these when they where launched but they where only available in the US. Sure, it is only a Legacy Outback with the back of the roof missing but he thought of it as really cool. He has searched for a model of one for years but could not find anything exept for a set of Micro Machines with five small cars in the set. 3 of them Subarus and 2 others. The 3 Subarus where 2 protypes and 1 Baja. He searched for a long time on Ebay and other places. In his searches he found that Micro Machines was made by Mattel and they stopped making them in 2006, the set with the Subarus was launched in 2006 and only in Germany and only for a very shot time before they where pulled from the market with all other Micro Machines. So this set is very rare. He finally found one on Ebay and since he does not have a Ebay user himself I bid on it for him. It ended up costing something like 300$ US in the end, and he only wanted the Subarus so the two others in the set he gave me to give to my son. So he paid about 100$ for his little Baja. Wonder if that is the most expensive Subaru Baja of all time when the size is considered.
  17. Very nice to see this built. I got this kit in my stash aswell, won it as a prize at the Norwegian Challenge show a few years ago when the theme was cars driven by Don Johnson. How does it come together? Any issues I should be aware of?
  18. The Range ROver and Land Rover will most likley be reissues of the old Esci kits. The black Viking Volvo FH16 is apparently based on a real truck: Looks like it is a french transport company behind it: Transports Gapik
  19. Very nice build and I love the idea with the plates
  20. Ok, interesting to learn but for 1300$ one could get a rough fullscale bumpside. But it will be spread over 2 years and 2 months so I guess one could claim that it is not that expensive at all.
  21. Looks really cool, but how do you buy one?
  22. Cool, I want one (or two).
  23. Many cool things in that catalog. I like to see the Volvo F12 back and also the Renault 8 Gordini and the Massey Ferguson tractor is great to see back as I have been looking for it for several years and eveyr time I come across one the cost almost as much as a full scale tractor. Thanks for sharing
  24. Interesting subject, looks like a truly awful little car and with that styling package from Irmscher to try and make it hot is like seeing grandma in bikini contest. It kind of reminds me of a late-80s Nissan Sunny that we used to drive around in. Bad for my back to sit in and drive, it was so noisy one would want to wear headphones while driving but the thing never failed. It just went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on..............
