  1. I don't think I have posted these here before. This is one that I want to build a model of. http://stjordalsbilder.no/-/image/show/778255_shell-tankbil http://stjordalsbilder.no/-/image/show/778244_hell-st-shell-tankbil
  2. Truly an amazing build. A real inspiration to see this one
  3. Many really good sugestions here. Mine would probably be something like this: -61-72 Dodge Sweptline pickups, with parts to make every single modelyear and all engine/transmission combos aswell as D100/D200 and W100/W200 all in one kit. I love kits with many parts and options. -Tatra 603, that is just so cool -Mercedes W114/W115 with the option to build all possible engine/transmission combos and all years and variations between 68-76 -Mercedes W123 wagon with the option to build all possible engine/transmission combos and all years and variations between 78-86 -Mercedes W123 sedan with the option to build all possible engine/transmission combos and all years and variations between 76-85 -VW baywindow bus (already sugested) both in pickup, bus and camper versions and again with options of all years and versions in one box. All of the above sugestions would be full detail with a level of partsfit in the top level. When I say full detail I'm thinking og having steelwheels with separate lugnuts and separate hubcaps/wheelcovers. Exactly reproduced brakes, suspension and chassis details and engines with separate block, head, sump aswell as pistions, rods, cranckshaft and camshaft and such. Since all of this would be in one box and it would contain parts for many different engines/gearboxes and other versions this would be kits of extreme partscount. I would never promise a low price but if I had won so much money that I would have problems spending it I would probably accept a loss on each kit just to make them sell.
  4. That looks very familiar. Same thing here at my place aswell. We got two cats (actually we got three but the third one is always outside) and they both crawl in to kit boxes. The oldest one is 9 years old now and being a male that has lost his manhood he is quite big. He usually ends up trashing the box. Out youngest cat we just got this fall and she is about 4 months now. She steals parts and tools all the time. So far, I have found everything that she has stolen.
  5. Yes, a small island would be nice. I don't need a big country. But I'm never going to win that much anyway, knowing my luck (or lack of luck) here in the world I will probably never win more than what I have spent on lotterytickets in the first place. I can't even manage to sell a car for money these days.
  6. If I ever won that much money, I would buy myself a country. That way I could do whatever I wanted, have the laws and rules that I wanted and only have enough people living there to keep it rolling and all of theme would be approved by me. That way, I would avoid having raving mad ecomentalists and car-hating treehuggers trowing eggs at me for driving a 30 year old car.
  7. Sad to see antoher one of those great ones go. I guess this will be the future, one by one they will go and what are we left with? Some stupid blonde girl that is alergic to wearing underpants and a big sissy from canada that thinks he owns the world.
  8. Haha, I can see the similarity in shape (sort of) but the same? A Honda and a GM product has probably never been the same and probably never will.
  9. So what was wrong with that Yugo again? The Opel Kadett E, it was never a pretty car but neither was any of it's competition. The GSi version was a hot hatch in the same market as the Golf GTI and I don't think it was any worse. But someone always have to change the looks of the car to their own taste (or maybe lack of taste) I do wish that we could get a reissue of this kit and maybe some resincaster would provide a hatchback body for it or at least a Opel conversion kit.
  10. I really like the two last ones there. The red one I have seen a lot of pictures of before. I do actually have many pictures of it on my harddrive that have been taken during it's restoration. I found them on some site some years ago. I don't want to post them here but if you want I can email them to you. For me personally the pictures of the first and second of your projects are a great example of what wheels/tires, stance and some details do to a vehicle. The white one is in my eyes not as good looking but if you put the same wheels on it as the second (yellow/black?) one it would be much better looking. But the best one is the 4x4
  11. Beautifull work you have done on this one. Absolutley great.
  12. Yes, the one from the Lindberg 64 Dodge looks good. I got that kit aswell, I did start one (or two) some years ago with a wild plan of making a "airport taxi" out of two kits. Never got any further than the lots-of-bondo-to-be-sanded stage when my cutting was a bit off. Maybe I will finish that some day.
  13. Thanks for the comprehensive answers guys I already got the AMT 71 Duster and using the engine out of that kit will be the one I will go for. The Duster kit itself is (at least in my plans) going to be Al Bundys "Dodge". I don't know what engine the "Dodge" had but I'm guessing it should be a slant six.
  14. Here is another local video with a low bridge: http://www.adressa.no/tv/?id=31885&autoplay=1
  15. I don't know where in the world you want to put this one in to it's context but take a look at sales figures of the 57 Chevys. I don't know them myself but I think that I have read somewhere that there was not so many 150s sold as there was 210s and Bel Airs so maybe one of Revells 150/Black Widows as a stock 150, and one Revell Bel Air two door sedan and one AMT "New tool" Bel Air 2 door hard top and (if you can get it) one four door sedan (maybe in 210 trim). If you want to make a transport from factory to dealer I suppose you should also have plain steelwheels on all cars with no hubcaps as I belive the hubcaps where left in the trunk or inside the cars during transport.
  16. Not really thinking of the van here but since I got that ModelHaus 65 Dodge D100, what is the best source for a correct 318 in scale?
  17. There is only one model that is interesting in that show but I think she is already spoken for But, seriously, I have several times seen models being built, or boxes sitting in the background in movies and tv-shows. Many will rememer Higgins building his Bridge over the River Kwai in Magnum P.I.. Don't know if that was a kit or if it was "made-for-tv" stuff. I can also remember a scene in (maybe Simpsons) a show where they are building models and end up with half ship half plane model. And I think I remember a similar scene in Home Improvement aswell, Tim and one of the sons are building a model and ends up with a mix of a Spitfire (plane) and a Mustang (car). And what about James Mays Toy Stories where he had an entire episode about modelkits. He took a huge amount of models to a school and asked students to build. I belive it was the Golden Hind in some small scale first and then he had them build tanks for a longer project. Many of the kids got their dads to build them and when they where finished they where supposed to use them in a "movie project" where they where going to blow them up but one kid did not want to blow up his model because he had built it himself and was proud of it. I think that is great, he must be a future modelbuilder For us Norwegians, when we are talking models in movies, there is one movie that will stick out and that is the 1975 animation film Flåklypa Gran Prix (Pinchcliff Grand Pris is what I belive it to be called in English) that has lots of modelcars in it. Sadly, many of them are not listed on the IMCDB site http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=73000 but check out the youtube link that is among the comments. And if one can include computer games, in GTA San Andreas there is some missions for the owner of a model shop. One can walk in to the shop and look at kits and rc models. Sadly, none of them are real ones.
  18. I have a great respect for their wish of privacy. I would wish for the same if it was my familly that was in this situation. I just wish him and his family well. This thing also shows us all that life can be very fragile at times. An accident like that could have happened to anyone.
  19. Interesting find. I wonder how many other kits they have made with russian boxes?
  20. Thank you very much for the pictures Tom and thank you Mike for the tip on the Torino. I don't have that kit myself but i will see what I can find in my stash. Here is some pictures of the rim and tire. Very difficult to get the details to come out in the pictures so I had to alter the exposure. I think these wheels are also in the 1:20 Ford van that the reissued not long ago but in that one I belive they are chromed.
  21. I can take some closeups of the rims and tires later
  22. One of the great voices of rock has passed http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/12/r-i-p-lemmy-kilmister-motorhead-frontman-dead-at-70/
  23. I got a Italeri Mercedes Actros 1854 LS (V8) with kitnuimber 3824. I'm not sure it got the OM502LA enigne but I can check. If you want I can scan the instructions for you.
