If they would do it, great! But it does not matter much to me who does it aslong as it is a good one. Rejii Model did a great conversion kit for the Esci Gälendewagen: http://www.spotmodel.com/product_info.php?products_id=16510 and ScaleProduction has several cool transkits including the VW Doka for the Hasegawa kit. C1 models has done several including that very nice VW Caddy pickup. If any of these (or some other good aftermarket producers) make a conversionkit I will buy it.

Sounds like we have the same plan I'm hoping for a aftermarket conversion kit to make it a mk1 Transit.

I must buy those and I need to buy double of them. One for me and one for my son, he will love it

X-Files: Your opinions on the premiere episode?
Atmobil replied to Harry P.'s topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Yes, it is fiction. I know, but so are a lot of the "news" we here about today. Especially the "news" that you see on facebook and that type of media. Making people scared is the most effective tactic for changing their minds. -
X-Files: Your opinions on the premiere episode?
Atmobil replied to Harry P.'s topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I just saw the first two episodes tonight and I liked it. I was 10 years old when the first series started on tv here in Norway and I watched almost every episode for the next 9 years. I also saw the films. I guess that a lot of my views on the world today is because of the X-files. I don't really trust any one (especially not anyone with a high position) and I always think that politicans, the media and the big-wigs of this world is keeping the truth from us. I don't necessarily belive in alien abductions but I do belive that we are being lied to. And seeing this new series just brings it all back. The X-files is up there among the best made tv-drama-seieres ever -
You lucky #¤*+|§!! Here in "the richest contry in the world" the fuel was at 14.88 kroner pr. liter today. That works out at 6.53$ pr. gallon and it is a lot of talk about hiking up the prices even more because here in our country the we have 3 million cars and our average milage is about 35MPG and apparently that is the main reason that the worlds climate is going to collapse. It is even talk of banning diesel cars and making it illegal to drive a car with an internal combustion engine in to a city center. If one drove the Ram pictured above here you would see ecomentalists coming after you with pitchforks and burning torches. Witchburnings would soon be seen everywhere. Here in Norway, one should buy a car only to make longer journeys and even then you should feel guilty for choosing to drive instead of cycling or taking the train. That is atleast what the ever increasing PC world thinks. I don't feel guilty for driving my car, but my wallets crys every time I have to spend 1000 kroner (115$) to fill up the 65 liter (17 gallons) tank.

Looks like the 84 GMC version is coming out again:
-
Excellent build. I really love it
-
Yes, I realise that. But I find it strange that we all of a sudden have two (3 in fact) kits of the Renault 4 and are now going to get a second kit of the HY aswell and the arrive at almost the same time. It is really great but kind of strange still. I sure hope they keep it up and give us more french cars

Brian James Trailer *UPDATED* 8/23/16*
Atmobil replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Cool. I know a guy that had a trailer from Brian James that looked very similar to that. Will need a few of them I think. -
Last year I discovered that the aired to complete race online: http://www.imsa.com/imsa-tv/episode/2015-rolex-24-daytona-qualifying EDIT: Ooops, that was last year qualiying session. Not sure if the do the same thing this year. EDIT 2: I found this: http://www.imsa.com/series/sportscar-championship/tv-episodes maybe they will show it there?
-
Wow, really?? Are they trying to compete head-to-head with Heller? I think it is really cool that we now have a HY but why do two different companies make a kit of the same type of car at the same time? Still, wil be interesting to see how it is

The least kitted brand....
Atmobil replied to khier's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think they are still active, at least I have not heard anything to say otherwise. They are based in Finland and has Juha Airio and Tapani Rauramo has the main driving forces behind the name. Some pictures can be found here: http://public.fotki.com/tomcoolidge/scandinavian-resin/ I think you can possibly order them trough the Swedish Virago Hobby: http://www.viragohobby.se/product/?CT=1|6|223 But I don't see the Saab on that webiste at the moment. But they will be very expensive in the US. I have a Mercedes Benz W111 220SE kit from them and like most resinkits it will require a lot of work. It is however mostly a complete kit so I don't have to source to much parts from other kits. -
Whats the weirdest kit in your stash?
Atmobil replied to mustang1989's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No worries That gun also looks cool. I like to see that type of kit built at shows but personally I would never buy one. It is just too big, too many parts and too much references for me. They are very impressive and I do admire the work that goes in to these beasts. -
Yes, see here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/110128-italeri-2016/ Does not say when but hopefully sometime during this year it will be in the shops again. I will buy several of them. I have one (the red version in the black box with only Ford logos on it) and I have wanted to build it many times but always kept myself from doing that simply because I know that if I mess it up I will not be able to find another one for decent money.

Rattle Cans - who still uses them?
Atmobil replied to tiking's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I still use rattlecans and I will continue to use them until the day that I get a proper paintbooth setup. At the moment my paintbooth is a big box in a non-insulated shed outside. I have a little fan-heater in the box to get the heat up but it does not have proper ventilation and setting up and airbrush in there is today nothing I want to do. My hope and plan is that I will have money left over sometime in the future to rebuild the shed with proper insulation and I want to build a permanent paintbooth like a mini version of a real 1:1 paintbooth with heated air trough a proper ventilation system with filters to avoid dust. Then I can also store my paint there instead of inside in my hobbyroom as I do now. -

The Saab 96 is (or at least it was) available in resin from Airtrax. I found some mention of them in this thread: I think they can be a bit of a challenge to build but when done right they will look good. -
Whats the weirdest kit in your stash?
Atmobil replied to mustang1989's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes I was refering to the post made by Agent G/Wayne above mine of a guy scratchbuilding that monster tank in 1:35 scale. I remember that the guy that had built the Dora gun had bought lathe-turned aluminium gunbarrel for it and lots of photoetch and other stuff. The model had cost him well above 10 000 kroner (more than 1100$) in parts alone. It was so big and heavy that they put it on four tables at the show to spread the wheight of it and avoid people getting to close. The also needed to use a van to transport it and two guys to carry it in to the show. It is the biggest plastic model I have seen and the only bigger model I have seen was a 1:4 scale remote control tank that was so big the guy that owned it could sit on it -
I have a kit that is supposed to be the 50s 300 sedan that was made by ITC (Ideal Toy Corporation), marked as Made in USA and dated 1962. It says on the box that it contains "23 precision molded components". It is and understatment to call it BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH but it looks almost like a toy car of a Mercedes and it is fun to have in the collection.

Is the 2wheel drive 78 issue the only one with bench seat?

Atmobil replied to mustang1989's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow, would be a crazy sight if you puit it next to the Dora railway gun in the same scale: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/115182-soar-art-workshop-n-a-dora-railway-gun I once saw that Dora gun built at a modelshow I was at. It dwarfed every other model that was there. -
Rise of the Machines...WARNING WARNING DANGER DANGER !!!
Atmobil replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
The only filmversion of a Stephen King book that has ever been really good is The Shining, the book is always a lot better and if one is like me one gets so drawn in to the book that one finds it difficult to put the book aside. I read it in less than two weeks and that is a 800 page book. I usually will spend about 1-2 months on a book that is halft that size
