  1. I"d say the writer was mistaken and it is a Cal Custom scoop. It wouldn't be the only mistake in the article, he also says the kit will be $2.00! ?
  2. I'd suggest doing a google image search for "1/24 tuner wheels". That will give you a good cross section of choices like hiroboy, hobbylink, etc. but it's kind of confusing sorting the online vendors from sites just showing product. Happy hunting.
  3. I'm the guy who initially answered Rich's question. I know it was discussed here before a couple times. I did not feel the need to tell the guy to go find the answer himself, I feel that would have been rude when I gave him his answer just as easily. In this unimagined time, is it so wrong to have a little bit of human interaction, even if it's an a keyboard?
  4. I'm not %100 sure Roger but just looking at the way the brochure is worded, it sounds like the body side and tailgate trim was only available on the Fleetside trucks.
  5. It's definitely 1/25. The body is copied from the MPC kit. In fact, they're all 1/25. The Caddy is a JoHan copy and the T-bird and Impala are AMT.
  6. OK, got my color. Just happen to have a bottle of '69 Pontiac limelight green from Scale Finishes. Exactly what I had in mind.
  7. LOL ,, Just easier to paint one wire attached at both ends then two with loose ends. Then I just snip it and run the ends to where they need to go.
  8. I haven't tried these but if you can't decide on cereal or a donut , , ,
  9. When I went to drill holes for the hoses in the front of the engine I found that there's no place to put them. So, I sanded the front of the engine flat and added the front of an MPC 440. Not the cleanest work I've done but it's gett'n done.
  10. That Merc's gonna be so cool in that blue Rob.
  11. Better put on your steel toe boots Steve, 'cause construction season's begun. ?‍♂️ I'm using the Cragars from the Revell '67 Charger. Seemed a touch large. When I checked the diameter I found it to be 17 mm That would work out to be about a 16inch wheel. I'm OK with that. Also started on the bodywork with filling the hole in the hood. Drilled out the headlights and had the bumpers replated a couple months ago.
  12. Check old custom tail light lenses. Some should have ribs like that. Without looking, I'd check the AMT '69 Riviera. IIRC, the custom lens is large enough to carve several from and may have the same ribs.
  13. Well,, since the custom Chrysler is almost done and the damaged bumper is off to the plater, a new project is in order. Steve G thinks it's a good idea so I'm starting on mine also. Mine won't be as detailed as his. I'll be using the kit chassis plate and such but I hope it will still be interesting and fun. I'm thinking light sage green pearl with light beige and sage interior. Cragar S/S with narrow white walls dropped low. Maybe some Bellflower pipes??
  14. Humm ,,,, ?
  15. Yup. It still does. Do you not still have that stuff in the States, Snake?
  16. Maybe when this virus BS dies down I'll send you a box. ?
  17. Oh, that's just the tip of the iceberg my friend. Try a google image search for "Vachon snacks" Say what you will about Quebec and the French but they do know how to make stuff that's bad for you. ?
  18. I like Honeycomb But seems they didn't learn anything from the "New Coke" fiasco. The stuff was awful. not only did they change the taste but the color , size and even texture. It was bloody awful. ? In fact, there was such a big backlash that this happened,, Still not quite there but almost as good as it was. But then again, Coke never really was the same again either, was it?
  19. Vachon makes the poison of choice here in Canada. Remember the big "red velvet cupcake" fad a few years ago ? We've had those forever. Jos Louis cakes are red velvet with vanilla cream covered in chocolate. The Canadian version of a Twinkie ? ,, But Vachon does make and sell Twinkies here for a few years now , can't say as I've ever seen anyone eat one though. I like these best myself though.
  20. I was given a built one many years ago. Identical to the Monza kit except for the Skyhawk scripts. I've never seen an unbuilt one either.
  21. LOL ,,, hey Steve, guess what I was thinking about starting while waiting for the Chrysler bumper to come back from the plater??? LOL ? Don't know if I want to be doing the same car at the same time though, I do have lots of other projects. ?
  22. Too fabulous Steve, A definite winner! ???
  23. Thanks Carl. The car's almost done and I'll finish it up while the bumper's out. Just need to permanently attach the chassis plate to the body and finish up under the hood. I checked and I will still be able to attach the bumper after everything else is done so no worries.
